Last post of 2007!!

2007 has come and gone. Just like that, another year has past.

It was Ferrari's year, Kimi Raikkonen's year and so many more others.

Here's an acapella group that I love, to end the year!!

I have goosebumps when I hear this one.^^

From MJ's famous song.

Sunday and Monday

I have no idea on what better title to put for this post =)

I think this title is all that is needed.

Sunday

My father was in Singapore, my sister went out for choir so we, as in my mother, my brother and I, went to Subang Parade for dinner. As usual, my brother suggested Manhattan Fish Market. I had no objection, so we went there for dinner.

About a couple of minutes after being seated, I saw a familiar face. Han Wei of 5 Omega was working there, and he was wearing a santa hat XD. Then as I turned to look at the kitchen, someone was standing there and smiling and waving at me. TECK WENG!!! Lolx, he was working there as well. He served us our drinks and dinner. Never seen this polite side of him, so much...lols. And if you're reading...hehe.

This was the only thing I wanted to say for "Sunday", so lets fast forward time to Monday. XD

Monday

Today is my Undang test at SS15. Dominic was supposed to join me, but he called late so he could only get to sit for his test on Wednesday. I reached there at 12, and there were a hell lot of people there. I saw 3 familiar faces, 2 of which were my standard 3 classmates and the other 1 was Navin from SU. SUs somehow can get along outside SU...lol. He was there since 9.15 in the morning. So he has waited quite a bit already.

I waited until like 3 before I could get my photo taken. But by 3.30, there was a problem with the system, and the only thing everyone could do was wait. At this time, it was one guy's turn. He had been there since morning, even earlier than Navin. He was already seated on the chair at the counter to get all the thumbprint and stuff, when the woman said that the system is down.

Andrew Chu came to see Navin, and the 3 of us were seating on a sofa, yes there was a sofa there. =)

We waited until almost 6, when the attendant called out the name of the guy earlier on. He got up from the chair, and went on into the room where the computers were. The system was back, weee!! XD

One by one, everyone went in, then my turn came. After answering all the questions, I did not fully want to know what my marks were, and I reluctantly press the "Keputusan" button. LULUS!!!! 43/50. lol. The passing mark is 42/50, so yeah I just scrapped through...hehe.

Went out, collected my printed result from the counter and I went home. =)

*Too lazy to put up the details of what happen there during the 6 hours I was there. Really funny fat lady was there...lolx. Cya.

Undang class at Metro.

Today, Dominic and I went to Metro to sit, and listen, for about 5 hours of talk from a guy about all the driving stuff. It was ok, not as boring as everyone say it is, maybe because its the guy giving the talk, that wasn't boring.

Anyway, there were 8 of us altogether, and when we arrived at Metro, there were a hell lot of people queing up either to register or get their Metro cards. We waited for about an hour just to get our cards.

We somehow split ourselves into 2 lines, guys and girls. The girls' line was so much faster than ours, but when they reach the counter, there was some kind of problem, and Dom and I heard something about receipt. Dom was slightly worried because he didn't bring his receipt, I had mine with me. So the girls called the instructor's wife, Pn Normah, and then they waited by the side for her.

When she arrived, she had a quick talk with the woman behind the counter, and we heard, "Ok-lah, mereka sudah panggil En Razak, pergi line-up sekarang la".

LOL!!

Those girls had to line up again. So, after sometime, when we all had gotten our cards, we had to go through door 1, then door 2, just to go for the eye test.

I thought it was going to take sometime, didn't think it was just a few questions on the computer. It took me about 1 minute to finish.

Then of we headed to the 'lecture". The first room was full, so we waited for the next room to fill up before we could get started with it. After finishing at at about 4, we headed back to the counter to get our CDs, I haven't checked what's inside, and then headed home.

It was ok I guess. =)

This Wednesday maybe going to watch a movie with Eu Jin and Dom. =)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND MERRY X'MAS!!!

I lost...

It was a HORRIBLE day of badminton for me, and if I have ever said that other days were bad, this tops the list( or at the bottom of it).

PLayed with Boo and EuJin today, and everything totally went wrong for me. Boo hasn't played in 3 years (or so he says), yet I lost 21-18. I couldn't run for the shuttles...I was like stuck, my legs wouldn't move.

At least Eu Jin didn't beat Boo either...hehe.

Then, saw Ken Yeap ( I think that's how its spelt) and Khe Chun and another guy. Ken Yeap asked where Hock Chin was, I answered "studying", short and simple...lol.

You see Hock Chin, people so caring ask about you, but you always busy and cannot play badminton...lol

Then Ken Yeap said that one of his friend is late, so he ask me to play. At first I declined, but later he asked again, and I accepted.

I partnered Boo, while Khe Chun partnered Ken Yeap. WE got thrashed 21-9 ( or was it 21-8)...haiz.

The only good thing was that I smashed a shuttle so powerful ( at my level la), that Ken Yeap couldn't retrieve it back...^_^

Still, it was a 100 % loss for me for the first time ever in my life.

I hope I can do better next time, and I am quite confident that I will be able to defeat Boo...and maybe Ken Yeap and Khe Chun, if my partner is Hock Chin...LOL. =)

*When is 5 Beta badminton and reunion?

Too long have I been away from...

GUESS!! GUESS!!

Lol, what do you think I was going to write? =)

I haven't been to training in a long while now, and returning to this weekly routine, I didn't expect to maintain standard with the others. Did 4 corners (3 set), left to right smashing (2 set), and left to right net (2 set).

Doesn't sound a lot right...hehe, here comes the twist. I had to do this consecutively and Daryl( I think that's how his name is spelt) picked up 26 shuttles one go!! So, times that up, 26 x 7=__.
I don't take maths, but even I know that adds up to like a zillion shuttles...XD.

It exhausted me, and I had to rest for like half an hour to 45 minutes, before I could play again. It takes a toll on your body.

Lol, and Mike ( the guy who is in charge of the training) wasn't even there to train us. He left the work to Daryl and Gina (dunno how 2 spell his full name), and went home to watch the Hong Kong Open Finals...lol. But too bad that one court was used by a church group, so the use of 1 less court limited our playing time.

Oh yeah, and in WolfTeam,

I FINALLY BROKE INTO THE TOP 1000 RANK!!. HEHE

I am now ranked 992 in the world, yea yea, I know its not very good, and my brother is world number 24 and all, but at least my rank isn't a 4 digit number anymore...lol. I must now try to break into the top 500...ASAP, if not I'll get left behind...even further. XD

I did my best...

Haiz...the go-kart competition this morning, was a total disaster. In the final shootout, only managed to finish 8th place. =(

At around 8.30 am, we all registered and signed some forms. There were 24 contestants in the junior category, so we were divided into two groups, and 12 in the senior. The first group was those who had driven a go-kart before, and the second group was those that haven't. My cousin, my brother and I were in the first group, along with 9 others. There were a few strong drivers there, but our chances of winning was still good.

At around 9 am, we were given 8 minutes to drive out and familiarise ourselves with the track and car. After coming back, we checked our time, and mine wasn't all that good, 1 minute and 44 seconds. I was second last in the group. My cousin and brother were much faster than I was, and they were lapping in the 1 minute twenties. So I had to find some areas where I could go faster.

After the 2nd group did their practice, it was our turn to go for qualifying. I managed to go faster, but only managed 9th fastest with a 1 minute 26 second lap. My brother and cousin were most likely to be safe to go through to the final shootout of the top 12 fastest people. I could only hope that the most, only 3 people would beat my time and not 4.

And after the 2nd group's qualifying, I was the 12th fastest overall. Phew, that would mean that I will start on the last row of the grid, but at least I qualified.

Then we had a break, because it was the adults turn for their practice and qualifying. After that, Show Time!!

We did a rolling start, and when the green flag was shown, the race was on. I managed to pass 2 people at the first corner, and then another after the straight. My brother had somehow spun , and his engine died, and it took a while before the workers came to start his engine, tough luck, but he was the 6th fastest out of the 12.

Then, after I saw another hit the barrier, I was in a higher position again. Then as the second lap started, there was a three-way collision, and one of them was my cousin. I went onto the grass to avoid them. Now I was up to fifth place. But then, disaster struck. My brakes had a problem. We weren't using the same cars that we used during practice and qualifying.

So, all my braking points had to change, and I even had to slow down my car further, before I could make a corner. And, when I forgot that I was in a different car, I braked to late, and my car spun. I was facing the opposite direction, and I saw three cars. One of them was my cousin. They overtook me 1 by 1, and I knew that I had to push harder to recover.

Later the brake failed me again, and I spun at the hairpin. After that, and a few more other spins, I only managed to finish 8th position. We came back to the building, and all three of us were complaining. My brother was the unluckiest, because his engine died, and it took sometime before someone came to restart it. He finished last after qualifying 9th. My cousin's car was the car that my brother used during practice and qualifying, and the problem with the car was that it could not accelerate as fast as other cars could, and was confirmed later by one other adult who used it, and my problem was the brakes. Unlucky day for the Wong family...lol.

After that, we had McDonalds for lunch, they announced the winner, and we went home. The only consolation I got was that I finished higher than 12th place. =)

Lets see what the three of us can do next year.

Go-kart, Badminton and WolfTeam!!

I had no idea on what to put as my title for this post, so I might as well write the 3 topic's I'll be posting about this time.

Lets start with Go-kart...hehe.
This Sunday, I will be going karting at a circuit, somewhere far, which I haven't been to at all. This event is organised by Saujana GCC and is the second year running. I didn't manage to go for the first one, last year, because of SPM. Hopefully I can do well in the race, and maybe take home a trophy...hehe. *praying*

Now its badminton.
Will be playing on Monday with PB2 and PL1...can't really say PB2 and PL1, because only 4 people going; Eu Jin, Boo, Yvonne and myself. After college from 4-6pm at Jayasquare. Wyhow said that he will be there from 3-5pm with his classmates, so see you there Wyhow. =)

Also, playing on Thursday with Hee Ian and others. Haiz...sure Ken Hon and Hee Ian will bully all the others. 4-6pm at Jayasquare as well.

Then, I'll be playing yet again at Jayasquare on Saturday, 1st December with 5 Beta. Have yet to send out invitations, but with Shaun's agreement, will be inviting Hock Chin, Eu Yang, Teck Weng, Ken Hou, Shein Ken and Lai Hing. Including Shaun and myself, total playing should be 8 people. So if anyone whose name is mentioned, please give me an answer ASAP. =)

As for WolfTeam,
Hee Ian say its not a nice game, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!! It's one hell of a game!! Online First Person Shooter Rox!! If any of you are already playing, you can add me to your buddy list. My IGN is Axedus. Here's a video for you all to watch.

This video was done by one of my in-game friends. =)

"In-between exams" post.

These are just a few random things that I want to post about.

1) I MISS PLAYING BADMINTON!!!
I want to play badminton right after my last paper, which is law, on the 16th. The paper ends at 3.30pm, so does anyone want to join me during that time?
My brother has been playing badminton so frequently, and has been training, while I'm most of the time in the study room, and I'm of course lightly worried about his current condition in comparison to mine. I know some of you have the same craving as me, so I'll see you all quite often, I hope, after my AS.

2) One-way to UK
This conversation took place somewhere after Thinking Skills Paper 1, and...um...this is how it went.

My father: You better study hard, so that can get good results to enter into a good university.

Me: Up north?

My brother: China?

Me: *did the Russell Peters head movement during the child services joke*

My father: Where? Melbourne?

Me: No, higher up North.

My father: What? UK? Sure no problem. If you can get good enough results to get in, I don't mind.

I GET TO STUDY IN THE UK!!! Not anywhere in the UK, but within London city itself. Which means getting damn freakin good results for my A-levels. haiz...
If I do, I'll most likely be staying at my aunt's place, but I don't think so, because I think my economics might destroy my results.

There is almost a zero percent chance of being able to go to the UK and study, but like I said, almost zero, not zero, so, I'll just wait and see how things progress.

=)

FORZA FERRARI !!! FORZA KIMI !!!

Kimi Raikkonen was the outside bet to win the Driver's World Championship title. He was seven points adrift of Hamilton, and 3 points of Alonso, and with the Mclaren's sheer pace throughout the whole season, Kimi would need a miracle to happen, and it did.
With Hamilton's problem early on in the race, which made him drop to 18th position, it was a much needed scenario for Kimi.
The whole race was full of surprises, and towards the closing laps, I held my breath, as I thought that something was going to happen to Kimi's car. But, everything went smoothly, and on the last corner, Kimi past the line for the last time this season. He has won the Brazilian GP, but it would still be unsure if he would win the Driver's title.
And as Rosberg, Kubica, and Heidfeld cross the line, that would mean that Hamilton will stay at 7th position, and Kimi the Champion.
In 1986, the last race was at Australia, with 3 drivers, all with a shot at winning the title. Mansell, Piquet and Prost. Prost was the outside bet like Kimi, to win the title, but win it , he did.
History was in Kimi's favour.
Eu Jin, surprisingly, watched the race as well. I was actually quite surprised when I saw his sms after the race at 1.45 am.
Got Thinking skills paper tomorrow, so, that's all.
Ferrari lost a champion with the departure of Michael Schumacher, but found a new one with Kimi Raikkonen, The Flying Finn!!

My Final, Final post until after AS (maybe)

This post is by request of Lim Hock Chin, my number 1 rival in badminton (apart from my brother).

Ken Hou asked to play badminton this morning at Jaya Square. Those playing there was Ken Hou, Hock Chin, Hee Ian, myself, and other former SU people, which I don't know all that well, only by name.

Played doubles today, and won all, which wasn't all that much of a challenge, because I was partnered with Hock Chin...hehe.

Today was more of a practise section for me, and Hock Chin, after our under-par performance on Friday with some friends, so it was quite a good outing.

I also played one singles with Hock Chin, but this is what he kept on requesting to me to post on my blog.

Before we played, Hock Chin said that he will get back his position from me, and he did. =(

He played much better today than yesterday, and so did I, but his improvement was much more than mine, and I lost in straight games. 21-16, 21-11. After his victory over me, he kept saying "I am back". He had a big smile on his face after that.

That match, was actually very fun. It shows that I can play at a fast rate, with strong attacks, if I want to ...lol.

Does that mean that I am a strong and worthy opponent on court to him?

Hmmm....sounds nice doesn't it...hehe.

Watch out Hock Chin, I'll get you again, and I hope that if we play with the same people on Friday again, I hope that we can come out on top, after the two of us had shown quite some improvement and we can play at a much faster and harder rate today.

So, Hock Chin, if you're reading, hows the post?

cya =)

Exams start next week.

Econs, law, business, thinking skills, econs, law, business, thinking skills...ARRGHH!!!

4 subjects, so much more less than SPM yet much harder. Why why!?

This week, other than studying, I've played pool once at AC. Me and Hee Ian against Eu Jin. Of course we lost, but it was fun. I've got the theory of it, but its totally different from playing. Hey Qi Hong, wanna play billiards at Saujana after my AS?

Gonna play badminton tomorrow with Ken Hon, Hee Ian, Hock Chin, my bro, and maybe with one of my bro's friends (still to be confirmed). Hock Chin is sure to fight me again and hopefully I can still stay on top. Some of you must be thinking "his first paper is on Wednesday, and he's still playing badminton", well I can't help it! I'm addicted!! I might even play in between days of my papers, but I doubt that will happen. My parents would kill me if i do.

Today, only Eu Jin, Wei Shiung and myself came to college today. Jin Hong came in for law, but left before Mr Bala came in. Don't worry, you're seeing correctly, Mr Bala came in today as well. As for Econs, I was the only one at class, until something like 10-15 minutes later, Wei Shiung came in. It was actually much more beneficial than when there are 7 of us in class. It was the most knowledge gaining time for me, in that one class, than throughout my whole econs lectures and tutorials at Taylors. That's for me, I don't know about Wei Shiung. Hehe...do any of you know what CC and ILO survey is? I do...lol.

Tomorrow morning, my mother will be bringing me and my brother and sister to Sunway Pyramid. I know, I'm a bit late to see the how the new wing looks like. I know that Carl's Jr has a shop there, that's a must try for me. I think the new wing will definitely be better than Pavilion.

So, this may be my last post for about one month, until after my AS, so

SELAMAT HARI RAYA to all my Muslim friends, Rabiatul, Hazwani, Izzy, Dominic, Kamal and Juna.

Btw, how do you say Selamat Hari Raya in Maldives?

KL trip

After watching the semi-finals of the Macau Open, we went down to KL.

Went to the Pavilion first. Parked at my father's office building and we walked across the road and taadaa, Pavilion. Its a very big building, but when you go inside its a totally different shopping complex than others. All the expensive brands staring at you, and not even one shop which is 'enter-able'. Even the Parkson there sells mainly branded things...only the Higher income group will be able to shop here.

As for the food, the restaurants are on a different level. Many kinds of restaurants, but we decided to go into Pasta Mania...bad decision. There was Madam Kwan, Tony Roma's, Carl's Jr, any many others, but we just had to go into Pasta Mania. The food, just edible. I've had much much much MUCH better pasta in my life. I doubt it will survive.

After that, went to Lot 10, but the only thing we got was the suitcase for my sister to go to Tasmania. Then went to Sungai Wang, because my sister wanted to get something for her friend. Had to walk a further...just a long walk.

Very uneventful night, FULL STOP.

Exams are just around the corner, and what am I doing?

What am I doing? The usual of course studying, and (like Kamen says), PLAYING BADMINTON!!
After AS , I will be playing with pl1-pb2 as well as 5 beta (for the reunion).

Played today at Jayasquare with my bro, Hee Ian and Hock Chin. It was so freaking hot today, even while playing it was so exhausting.

Lost all my doubles in straight games, except the last one which I was so tired, so Hee Ian did all the work, and so was Hock Chin, so it was mainly a Hee Ian-Sebastian match.

Actually, Hock Chin wasn't tired, he was more of feeling the aftermath of a shocking defeat, to me. =) I beat Hock Chin again!! 6-21, 21-16, 12-2(retired). In the last game, Hock Chin couldn't concentrate, got so pissed, and he retired. He spread himself out on the floor, looking very dead.

The second game was particularly tiring for both of us. I played to my maximum, and I'm sure he did his best that he could today, but I think Hock Chin will bounce back from this defeat, like I did (lost to him every time since Form 4 and 5). Hock Chin seriously made me run like hell.
I'm feeling the effect now...*can barely open my eyes...so tired*

It was a good match, looking forward to playing again, but please don't make me run so much =) TQ.

The beginning of the weekend is here, and it will be kinda weird because on Saturdays, I will always look forward for badminton training, but there isn't any now. haiz.

I think my father will be taking my family to Pavillion(did I get the spelling correct), which is across his office. Wonder what shops are there.

Can't think of anything else to put on this post, and also because I'm too tired. So, thank you for reading.

=)

The End

No no, its not the end of my blog...lol,. but it is for my training under Coach Audrey.

Thanks to the SKSJ principle (read previous post), my training under Audrey has finally come to an end. It has only been 7 months since I rejoined after a very long break. Thank you coach for helping me with my play, and I hope to train under you again. =)

When I rejoined training, the training for that day was lobbing. The entire time I was lobbing, until I couldn't feel my hands anymore, and I had gone over my limit. Weird experience. That time, we lobbed for about 45 minutes. This time, the last training, we also did lobbing, but only for a certain time, I think it was like 10 minutes. Erik was already dead by that time. Then we also did something else, which I already found very difficult the last time we did it. My lungs were about to give way!!

Today, was a contrast of how I played yesterday. I played very slowly without much attacking. Hero to zero. I thought I would be able to finish my training on a high note.

Now questions are coming into my head, like what kind of training would Mike be doing if I do go under him?, would my play deteriorate compared to others?, and would my task to rise as the one of the best amongst my friends be taken away from me?

Don't know.

This is the end of my training under Audrey, for now, but this isn't the end of my training. That I can say for sure.

It wasn't as I hoped

I BEAT LIM HOCK CHIN 21-19!!!! WOOHOO!!!

We only played 1 game, but I totally took advantage, and it isn't a win I value a lot, because Hock Chin has probably not played badminton for a hell long time. So all his shots were very sluggish...but it was fun if you think about it.

Hee Ian invited me to play today, and the others that were there today were my brother, Wyhow and Hock Chin. Played many doubles, played 2 singles, one against Hock Chin, the other against my brother. Won 1 lost 1.

I played a very different game than I usually do. This is the 1st time that I have smashed so much, and I didn't injure my right shoulder, or my leg. Amazing!! lol.
My game was full of attacking and fast play, but this cost me the win against my brother because I'm still not too sure about myself when I play like this. Probably need some getting used to.

My best game of all time, was my final doubles game. Me and my bro, against Wyhow and Hock Chin. We won 22-20!! We were leading most of the time with a 2 point advantage. We had game point at 20-18, but 2 slip-ups allowed them to catch up. The last two points were the highlights of my whole badminton life.

Hock Chin lobbed the shuttle to the back. I waited, at the very right moment, I crossed my racquet to do a cross-court smash onto Wyhow. Hock Chin blamed me for not smashing at him. We were now at game point again, 21-20. The last rally went on. Shots went left, right back, front, then the shuttle was hit to the back of the court, and it was mine to hit. I heard Hock Chin say "smash me lah!", and it went all too perfect. I smashed at Hock Chin, broke his defence, and the game was ours!! I never felt better.

Brilliant.

Misery

Okok, I may be 2 days late on this. Now I'm back at college, currently writing this post at the Web. Classes have resumed, and I dread it cause now I'm back to waking up early. =(

But, this isn't the worst thing on my mind right now. Its the idea of not being able to train for badminton. NOOO!!

The current principle for SKSJ (primary school) is really annoying. She now doesn't allow outsiders to use the badminton courts on Saturday after 5pm and on Sunday after 1pm. So Audrey is not going to be able to coach us anymore. But, another guy will be doing the training, but I don't know the guy's time of training, and price. So, not sure if i'm going to go training under him.

So, this Saturday may be the last time I go for training under Audrey. Will miss playing with the other guys.

I wonder if my chance of getting better in badminton has just been taken away from me. Haiz..

AS exams are coming real soon, maybe I should forget about badminton for a while, and concentrate on my studies.......NO WAY!! The moment I take a leave from badminton for anything, then you'll know that I've been abducted by aliens...hehe.

Anyone wanna play badminton? Hock Chin is having his break now, and Ken Hou just messaged me about badminton. Come on guys, 5 beta? please. How about next week? you guys free? TELL ME!!!

gotta go now.

Great Weekend!!

I was away for the weekend, went to Swiss Garden Damai Laut in Lumut. Left on a Saturday and came back today. One night only because it was the prize we won from the Saujana Treasure Hunt. Went with my uncle, aunt, and my two cousins. (Qi Hong didn't come ={ )

It was quite a fun outing. We wanted to do 'flying fox', but they were renovating it, so straight on to archery it was. Couldn't really get the hang of it at first, well, played only for a while until the rain came.

After that, went back to the room. My father went to the gym, and I followed later on, and a while later so did my mom. I tried different kinds of stuff, didn't know what it was called. After sometime we left, and I changed into my swimming trunks to meet my cousin and my sister at the pool. Around evening, we went to the beach, and like I always do, I tried making a fort to prevent the water from entering =). It looked more like a volcano than a fort. Then of we went to the showers, for dinner.

We went out of the hotel to Pantai Remis. Half an hour drive from the hotel to the restaurant in total darkness. There were no street lamps 99% of the time. All of us sat in my fathers car, and it was quite fun driving in the dark. The food was ok, and the portion was BIG!! 5 dishes and a noodle, only cost RM 139. The funny thing that happened at the restaurant was that, my father ask for peanuts. Like here in KL, restaurants give salted peanuts, there, they gave us 1 packet of Shandong groundnuts!! ROFL!!

After dinner, another half an hour of darkness, then it was something like 10.15pm when we reached back at the hotel. So we decided to go to the recreation centre. Played billiard. Wasn't all that good. After 1 game, we went back to our rooms.

In the morning, had breakfast then went to play billiards again. After 1 game, everyone went to play archery, except me and my sister. I played another game with her, and won...hehe. We joined them later on, and I almost got a bulls eye. By 10.30am, we checked out, and went to Mengglembu to have lunch with my grandparents and aunt. After that we went home.

Quite an interesting experience.

And I've got an idea, for maybe the end of the year. =)
Anyone heard of Seaview Hotel? Its owned by Tan Yee Khan, former All-England Champion. Its on Pangkor Island, and it may only be a 3-star hotel, but there is A BADMINTON COURT THERE!! Yeah!! The rooms aren't expensive, RM 138 I think for a room with 3 beds, inclusive of breakfast!

So, if you know me, and there is a badminton court somewhere, you must know what my idea is. Here it goes.

End year break-Seaview Hotel, Pangkor-badminton court-competition?

Anyone wanna help me with my idea? Its just an idea, so I don't know whether it will work. But I would love for it to happen. Anyone la, 5 Beta, my usual badminton friends, PL1, PB 2 or any of my new friends at Taylors? But at least try 5 Beta.

That's all for this post, see ya.

"What I've Done" - Linkin Park

Hehe, decided to use a title of a song as my post header. =) It's a great song by Linkin Park!!

Anyway,

What I've done so far, since my trials were over ( and after the my previous post),

Firstly, the law lecturers gave a revision course for certain topics in Law, and it lasted for 4 days since Monday, every 9-12, but you don't need to know this as there are more interesting things that happened.

On Tuesday, Dominic, Kamal, Eu Jin and I went to 1 Utama to watch Rush Hour 3. It was a fun filled comedy/action movie, but it kinda lacked a bit of a nice storyline, but all in all, the outing was damn fun!! Enjoyed many laughs with them. We went there by car, Eu Jin and I, and Kamal and Dominic. Eu Jin didn't want to pay the toll, so we got caught in a traffic jam on the LDP, and Kamal used the NKVE, which of course they enjoyed no traffic.

On the way back, Eu Jin fetched me and Dominic back, and it was full of laughs, and loud music (when it came to Fall Out Boy's thanks for the memories), and we were joking about transformers, especially after Dom gave us a Transformers text message ringtone. It is nice! =)

Then , on Wednesday (I think), the torrent for Bleach: Memories of Nobody came out!! Yeah!! It is a damn nice movie done for Bleach, nicer than Sealed Sword Frenzy!! The animations for the movie was much nicer than the weekly episodes that I download. I especially like this movie because 5 captains and 5 vice-captains (and Ikkaku and Ayasegawa) took part in battles scenes!! Simply AMAZING!! I loved the last battle against the Dark Ones and the use of the Kidou canon. DAMN FREAKING NICE!!! This is a must watch!!

Also, the verdict by the FIA about the controversial dossier belonging to Ferrari, in the hands of Mclaren, is being decided today in Paris. We will see in the morning what the court's verdict is, and the fate of Mclaren will be known.

Also, there is only one remaining Malaysian in the Japan Open, hopefully Chong Wei can come out on top, and not Lin Dan...hehe.

Till next time...=)

Post-trials

AS trials are over!!! 2 weeks break!!!
The trials went quite well, hopefully I can get better results than Semester 1.

Pushing away the all the exams, Erik suggested to watch a movie at around 12. So to Summit I went, meeting up with Erik, Hee Ian, Basil and Chong Yong. Erik already watched Ratatouille, so we watched Invasion, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. It was just an ok movie, nothing to shout about, but Erik was like freaking out; kept looking at his watch as if the movie was going on for a lifetime. And after the show, he said that the show was rated wrongly...LOL!!!

The movie wasn't all that scary, neither was it any thrilling. It was just disgusting the way they (microorganisms from outer space that invades human bodies) infect other people. You guys can go and see it for yourselves. No more drinking coffee or tea unless I see the person who made it first.

After that, went home to prepare for badminton at 4 at Jaya square. I was so pumped up to play badminton after a two week break. On arrival, most of them were already there ( Zhang Rei brought 8 friends, and Hee Ian brought 8 as well, totalling 18. Hee Ian Booked 4 courts). Out of the total 6 games that I played, I only managed to win 1. =( . That was against Zhang Rei and one of his friends. I partnered with my brother the whole time.

The other 5 games, all had Hee Ian on the team!!! Grrrr!! Lost to Hee Ian-Eu Yang, Hee Ian-Peng Shen( sorry, don't know how your name is spelt) 21-19, both. We should have won both!! Haiz...so I thought, lets put those behind, and challenge Hee Ian-His nephew. That's right, you're not seeing wrongly, its his nephew. He played a very fast attacking game, and just broke our defences. Apart from the damn strong players at training, I've never played against anyone who jumps and smashes down the line! My brother and I couldn't do much, as they played a very flat game, and when the occasional high ball was given, my drop shots were most of the time hitting the white tape. We lost to them 21-13 the 1st time. Then we played a second, and they were leading 18-8!! We were being thrashed. His nephew definitely knew my weakness, my deep backhand.

In the third, at least we got 2 digits, but I can't really remember how much. It was a tough match for me, mentally, but physically, I could have played against them for another 40 minutes maybe. I wasn't all that tired. But I think that, Hock Chin is a much stronger player than Hee Ian 's nephew, but the combination of uncle and nephew is much deadlier than that of Hock Chin and Hee Ian, dunno why.

So, the lesson learned from yesterday's badminton is, never underestimate someone who is supposed to be 'younger' than you, and I need to work on my game.

Is there, by any chance, any PL1 or PB2 students that would want to play badminton during the holidays? just say so if you want ok. =)

Oh, and I decided to incorporate my recipes into this blog, rather than the other, as there aren't many that are going there.=(

I also decided to change the look of my blog, anyone like it?

If you don't, then just get used to it =)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO MY A-LEVEL FRIENDS
and, study hard as the real AS exams are just around the corner =)

My Greatest Day ever!!!

Yesterday, during badminton training, we were pushed to our ultimate limit!! We had to run to every corner of the court, and believe me when I say that my lungs almost burst. XD

After that, Audrey was telling us some stuff about the game and footwork and other stuff. Then she let us play games afterwards.

During all that running, my legs and lungs were about to give way, but after, something like, 5 minutes, I felt like I could do the training again. So, my first match went on.

It was me and my brother, against Hee Ian and Erik. My brother was playing damn well, since recovering from a leg injury, and me, well,

ALL MY SHOTS WENT THROUGH AS I WANTED THEM TO!!!

My backhand was phenomenal!! There was one shot were Hee Ian caught me off-guard, and I had to run to my deep backhand. I played a fantastic backhand, and scored a point!! AMAZING STUFF. And my brother did one smash that broke through Hee Ian's defenses!! We took the 1st game 21-14.

Hee Ian and Erik came back with a vengeance to win the second game 21-14. We just couldn't play up to speed in the 2nd.

But in the third, it was a very close match. We 16-18 down on them. My brother and I took the third game 21-18. IT WAS JUST THE BEST THING EVER. 5 points in a row is simply AWESOME!!!( what a corny word to useXD )

Then when Hee Ian and Erik went home, I played singles with my brother, playing amazing smashes from my forehand down the line. My net and drop shots were getting sharper, and I took the 1st game 21-16.

He came back in the second with a 21-14 win. This time, he caught me off-guard, with his, unusual strong, lobs. He displaced me well.

But in the third, he had no answer to my shots. we were at 8-8, when I pulled a away to a 16-8 lead. He clawed back some points, but I took the match with a 21-15 victory. All my backhand shots did not fail me.

I'm pleased with the way I played yesterday, I might have even been able to beat Hock Chin!!.

That's all for now, I got to go and study before the World Championship Final later at 2.

See ya.

3 month physical workout...*dread*

I think you may know what i'm about to write in this post from the title alone, as it is around this time that certain a "lucky draw" is held.

NOOOOOO!!!

I've been selected for National Service...haiz.

Which means 3 things.

a) My long hair is gonna be cut short!!!! *argh*
b) My skin is gonna get dark!!! I like my relatively fair self. *damn*
c) I'm gonna need to get into shape (slightly) if I have to go through that place.

Hopefully I won't be chosen into the 1st batch, if not I'll have to differ. I think when you differ, they'll differ you to the following year( I don't know about that, so don't sue me XD).

So, before I go through NS, i'm gonna play badminton to my hearts content, and eat whatever I feel like eating, as I don't think I'll be able to do those things while I'm there.

Gonna miss 3 months of training as well, =(

5 Beta badminton game!!! This Sunday? You SAM and Form 6 guys holiday right? No excuse saying you can't come!! I still got college, so COME OR DIE!!
And I don't care, I'm gonna do the tournament thing.
Hock Chin is going down!!! (hopefully *prays*)

Maybe, can have PL1-PB2 badminton game as well. I say PB2 because Eu Jin told me before that Boo plays badminton quite well, so, I'd like to fight him.

And,

Trials are just around the corner, and I hope I can do much better than before. *prays again*

BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS STARTING TOMORROW!!!
Can't wait to see the live telecast of the matches on Astro, channel 85!! WOOHOO!!! Lets pray one more time, that all the other badminton power houses ( Malaysia, Indonesia, Denmark, Korea) can topple the Chinese from winning everything.

Finally, my condolences to any of you that got "lucky". Just to ease each others "good luck", those that got selected please say so, and those that didn't...I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU EVEN MENTIONED A THING ABOUT NS!!!!

The "Fire" is gone...

"It was once blazing, with extreme heat and passion, dancing with the wind!...now, it is gone."

If the line above still clouds you with confusion, then, you haven't seen me play in a long while.

In plain english, my badminton is in an all-time low. Its gotten worse since my previous post. I just can't get my game right. Everything seems to be going wrong.

Shots that were easy before, have now become hard to play. I can't even get continously lob with Hee Ian from the back of the court. Its so frustrating!! *pulling hair*

Problems in my game:
-can't lob to the back of the court
-can't play net shots tightly
-can't play cross net
-can't drop shot from the back
-can't play backhand properly
-can't cross court smash like I use to
-can't play under pressure anymore
-can't play at fast speeds
-can't beat Hock Chin ( lol...never could, anyway)

So many problems in my game, but can't seem to rectify them.

And, my main problem is, I don't have any new motivation to push me to play badminton anymore. The fire in me, has been put out recently. I used to never give up, and keep pushing myself even though I was losing, especially against Hock Chin in Form 4 and sometimes in Form 5.

Ever since the beginning of semester 2 , I couldn't find my edge, my motivation, and my desire.

Now, Erik is even more motivated to beat me in badminton. And I don't blame him, because of the lack of desire in me to win anymore.

And, I can't improve on my game this week, as there isn't any training this weekend. The good thing is, I can finish up my law assignment on Intention.

My prime has come and gone, but hopefully not forever, and not for long...

Too many things...very busy

Today, Sunday, coincidentally many things are happening today.

Time: 11.35 am.

Firstly, Miss Harjit is giving us a law test on offer & acceptance and consideration( i dislike this topic a lot). This means that some reading has to be done. ELS was so much more easier, when it comes to stuff like this. In contract, so many cases need to be remembered and there are so many rules to know. Lets hope that I can remember as much as possible =).

Next, in Formula 1; luckily Lewis Hamilton didn't get injured after his horrific crash during qualifying yesterday. And, Congrats to Kimi for taking pole position for Ferrari. Tonight will be the race at Nurburging. Pray that Kimi will win.

FORZA FERRARI!!

And in the afternoon, the final round of the Philippines Open will be showing live. I think Chong Wei would win the title, over 1st seed, and World No. 2 Chen Hong.
In the men doubles, it would be a bit hard to say who will win. The match will be between Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and China's Guo Zhendong-Xie Zhongbo, and the Chinese pair have been performing exceptionally well in this tournament, knocking out 2nd seed Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan.

And finally, speaking about badminton, my form in playing is currently in a slump. Although my net shots are getting tighter, I just don't seem to have the motivation to play at a higher level and I can't really cope under pressure. I need to find a new motivation, so that I can push myself to play harder, and faster. My past motivation, is gone with the wind...lol.

I'm starting to lose to my brother much more. I haven't beaten him in the past 3 weeks. If this continues, I might even lose to Erik again!! ( but this possibility, I think is highly unlikely...hehe). So, things have been going through my mind on how to improve, and it needs to happen quickly.

So that's all, I'll keep you updated with my training =)

Which one would've been the better choice?

14th of July, Saturday.

Chocolate Factory (Beryls), or badminton training? hmmmm....

A trip to the chocolate factory might have been nice, may have bought chocolates to indulge myself in.
But, if I did go for the trip, I wouldn't have been able to improve myself in badminton, especially with the vigorous training that we did today.

Even though I injured my back in the process, I learned a hell lot today! Apart from my uninspiring performance against my brother, in which I lost (21-17), the whole day was great!!
Another highlight would be me and my brother defeating Hee Ian-Eu Yang, 14-21, 21-16, 21-16!! That was revenge for them beating us previously.

Oh, and by the way, I'm not easy meat to kill, Erik.

Wonder if my classmates enjoyed themselves during the trip? Hope you did.

I have to admit, I may not be able to beat Hock Chin just yet, but i'll get him very soon. ( Its very hard to write this down for me...LOL!!!)

Any chance of a Beta get-together badminton game? I'm dying just to play with you guys again. You guys are the only ones that I can rely on to come in full force, one big group!!

Lets all pray,
that China will not produce a clean sweep in the China Masters, and that others will be able to upset them in the finals tomorrow, especially the fired up Choong Hann!!!

A New Start

The 2nd semester for A-levels has just started ( well, its been 3 days, so...). We have already started learning contract law, and other subjects have yet to start the A2 syllabus.

The time table, to me, isn't a nice one ( apart from Monday and Wednesday where I start at 9). There are breaks like after every 1 or 2 classes ( That's because I don't take maths =D). So, its like, up and down almost the whole day. Tiring!!!

Apart from the new sem beginning,
in Formula 1, Ferrari are starting their fight back after 3 races of Mclaren domination. This situation for Ferrari is similar to last year, where Michael Schumacher fought back in his championship bid, and Ferrari brought the fight back to Renault, and Alonso!! But unfortunately, 2 mechanical failures in Japan and Brazil destroyed Michael's chances of winning =(. Hopefully, Ferrari can fight back at the top step again, but this time, win the championship!!

FORZA FERRARI!!!

Also another new start,

the beginning for me to take the fight to Hock Chin!! My style of playing badminton has changed. This new style, has given me much confidence that I need. I just need to train this style of playing, maybe for a couple more months, and Hock Chin will be DETHRONED by me!!!

Today, I stamped my authority down, by beating Eu Jin 21-18, 21-14. He was very clam the whole time, and I was getting very anxious to beat him quickly, but that cost me. He gained confidence, and bag in points fairly quick. I needed to stop playing so predictably, and change the pace of my play. It worked, and I know it will work against Hock Chin!!

I'll be more than glad to play against anyone who challenges me, after reading this...hehe, including Hee Ian!! I'm sure those who will comment on this will be Eu Yang and Wyhow. LOL!!

Btw,
tonight at 8 o'clock, Jamie Oliver's new series on channel 11, Travel and Living!!! Don't miss it.

Unbelievable!!

It was quite disappointing when Coach Audrey messaged my bro's phone on Saturday morning, "no training today". NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

After my disappointing play on Thursday at 3K, I wanted to improve on it during training. Too bad it didn't happen.

But,

at about 2.30 pm, Hock Chin called me and asked whether I wanted to play badminton. Of course I wouldn't decline a match with him so I agreed. He booked the court at Jaya Square, and it was just Hock Chin, Eu Yang, my bro, and myself. we played from 4-6pm.

But after so much hype about the thought of fighting him, it would end up to be a disaster for me.

We played doubles first, my brother and I lost to Hock Chin and Eu Yang 21-17, 12-21, 21-14. If I can remember clearly, that was the score.

Let me just say that Hock Chin was on a role that day. He was so fired up to play. He won all his matches, or games.

I thought, at least I must be the 2nd best there that day...hehe, But it didn't work out. I lost to my brother 24-22. DAMN!! I couldn't handle the pressure properly. Well, I only played with him 1 game. Then I fought Eu Yang, after a draw at 1 game each the previous week, I was ready to beat him flat, but that wouldn't be the case.
I LOST in 2 straight games!!!! 21-11, 21-16. My game was a mess.

Finally, I had to challenge Hock Chin, of course. We only played 1 game, and I lost 21-13.
My net shots weren't going through, and Hock Chin was able to retrieve my smashes, and recover even though he was of balance!!...haiz.

Two bad days of badminton for me. We played more doubles afterwards, then it was almost 6 o'clock, when a group of small kids came in. They were there for training. The oldest one there was probably Form 3 the most.
While we were waiting for Eu Yang to change, we sat down on the bench, and witnessed the most amazing play any of us have ever seen!!

These four young kids, about 6 years old, were playing like crazy!! They were damn good!!, and they are shorter than the net!! They could lob as far as I could, or even further! They could even clear the shuttlecock cross-court, and the best part was that they did it using their backhand!!! My backhand could rarely even reach half court!!

They would, if they must, even fall down just to retrieve the shuttle and get back up and hit the next one. Their court coverage was damn amazing!! It's like they have been partnering each other for years!! If only I could do that.

We were awestruck, and Hock Chin kept going on about, that they were trained at a young age with all the basic knowledge, and he started training late under Audrey, Form 3, without much basic knowledge. Haiz...if only I didn't quit training when I was Standard 2.

I also shared a joke, about Shaun and Lai Hing, with Hock Chin. ( No details will be mentioned...LOL!!!).
I'm still thinking back about how those small kids could play so damn good, its just unbelievable.

Semester Exams are over!!!!

After so much of preparation ( maybe not that much), my semester exam is finally over. Now I can enjoy, but probably not too much since A2 is gonna start, and I need to get prepared for AS trials as well.

I would like to wish my cousin a happy holiday, he just finish his A2 exam, good luck with the result.

To my SAM friends, i hope that you guys did well in your mid term exams. Study harder if you didn't get the result you wanted...GOOD LUCK.

And now, to my A-level friends, happy holidays, and good luck with your results, which may or may not spoil the second week of the holidays...haiz.

Especially to my PL1 friends, hope you guys will have a safe journey home, for those of you who live away from here ; Serene ( Johor), Florence ( Penang), Juna ( Maldives...that's near India if you didn't know...LOL!!! *Gets whacked by her*).
For those who are still here, well... Have Fun!

There's just something I wanna highlight, ( Shaun already knows)

Before the exams, after the badminton game with 5 Beta, the following day was training, my shoulder dislocated. But I think it only displaced slightly, but that hurt like HELL! Couldn't move my arm much on Sunday, and I was of course worried about the sem exams on Monday.

Luckily it healed quite fast, but my writing was still restricted. Good thing I was still able to write quite fluently.

Oh btw, Hock Chin, I could've beaten you that day. It was a close one in the second game, 21-17. Lost the first one 21-12. I know I'm capable of beating you...* Eu Yang goes "ish"*...LOL!!!"
1 more month and I will.

Finally,

WELCOME BACK TIENG WEI!!!

How was NS? Had fun?

I'm loving it so far!!!

Today, is a WONDERFUL DAY!!! It has been, I wouldn't say the best day of my life, but its one of it.

If you don't know what day today is, you're not entitled to read my blog..EVER!!!...just joking! Please come back often...lol. Today is my birthday!! To all Betas, tsk tsk tsk, forgotten again. Only Shaun and Rabiatul remembered ( the same two who did last year)!!

And this is how my day went....

Before even the stroke of 12, I was in my bedroom reading a book. My dad came in and gave me a 100 bucks! *$ chaching $*. I'm rich XD! I knew that it is gonna be a nice day tomorrow!!

*The following day*

Arrived at Taylors at around 7.50 am. When I went into class, law lecture, I had a puzzled look on my face. " Why am I only the 4th person to arrive out off the whole class?" Waited and waited, one by one the students from the other class entered. I was still the only PL 1 there.

Until slightly past 8, then Su Wei entered, then followed by Eu Jin and the rest. BTW, Juna didn't come today. The first person to wish me was Serene. The very moment she sat down, she turned her head and said, "Happy Birthday Justin". Then, followed by everyone else.

Come end of Law, next class was business studies. We were the first to arrive, well I was, to class, before the PB class. The moment they stepped in, one song filled the air. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you......", you know the song. But later they stopped halfway and one of them, Arnuv, said "lets wait for Mrs Sujata to come". She came in and they sang again. Then Mrs Sujata wished me a happy birthday.

Lets rewind a bit, to my favourite part in school. * before Mrs Sujata came in*

Wei Shiung, Florence, Serene and Su Wei were at the front of the class, then, I think it was Florence, who passed a very nicely wrapped present to Wei Shiung, then he passed it on to me.

He said guess what it is, but I already knew upon holding it.

* Panicking music plays*

To tell you all the truth, I was feeling uneasy when I received the present. I was worried it was the same book my father just bought for me from London, Jamie's Dinners. I decided to open the back of the present....saw the back cover of the book, worried even more cause it looked almost similar. Su Wei asked whether I was happy with the present, cause I didn't seem so. I think anyone would feel the same way in my position.

Opened the present further, RELIEF!! It was a different one. It was Jamie's Kitchen. Opened it, smiled, and said thank you. =)

( its the blue-ish green one ), Some pictures taken ( with my phone) while I was on my bed.

My sis bought me another present, but I don't seem to be able to load it on to the post. Well, its a Sword!! lol...From the anime Bleach. A small replica of it. Its placed in a nice box. I'll try and upload it again. *fixes the problem* Here it is.

The rest of the day was great, besides the weather, which is quite humid.

Later i'm gonna get to eat my cake. My mum bought it from Baker's Cottage.

*I have a cake, you don't*

I want to thank everyone for everything today. I LOVE TODAY!!!!!

* I've decided to write on a topic in my next post. Here's a hint. It's called, my Classmates. Wanna know who i'll be talking about, look out for it. =)

A Challenge is made!!

You all must be wondering why I must be writing another post just after yesterday's post. =)

Well...I've got a good reason for doing this. Badminton training, played quite well. Lost a few, won a few. My shots, I think, are packed with much more power. Defeated my bro again, as usual *Seb sees what I'm writing and starts arguing that I beat him only because of luck*.

During training, I saw a familiar face I haven't seen in a while. Lawrence came by to talk to the coach. Wonder what they talked about...hmmmm. Later I went to ask the coach what did Lawrence say.

Me: Coach. What did Lawrence say?

Coach: Oh...he wants to continue training again.

Me: Walau weh!! So keng still want to train again.

Coach: *laughs* He was your classmate right?

Me: Yeah * walks back to the courts for another game*

With Hee Ian currently training, and Eu Yang starting next month, because he's always busy, and now, Lawrence is continuing, Hock Chin HAS to come back and train...or else!

My father and my sister are returning home tomorrow, and..

Ferrari took pole again, to bad it wasn't Kimi, but at least its better than one of the Mclaren drivers taking it.

Hopefully Kimi can score another win!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Wonder why....

I wonder why, gazing thoughtfully in the sky, I'm so uneasy. Feeling very happy after a long awaited time.

My father and my sister will be coming back this Monday from London , and that means I'm gonna get STUFF!! WOOHOO!!!!! I'm always looking forward too, when any relatives of mine, especially my aunt who lives there, comes to M'sia. There are always things to that we will receive!! Dam looking forward to that!!

Another thing I'm looking forward to is the........BARCELONA, SPAIN FORMULA ONE RACE!!! After a one month long break from racing, finally the championship battle will get back on course. Hopefully Ferrari will do well =).

Hmmm...still feeling very excited, wonder why. There is like some sort of "energy" that makes me all pumped up to play badminton. I feel like I can beat all my rivals. Someday next week is gonna be a special one. I'm just all itching to get back on court. Next week's badminton would most likely be a very good time for me. *hint*

Wonder if any1 from 5 Beta can still remember. =)

* Nothing else to post, HAPPY WEEK EVERYONE!!

Treasure Hunt result.

Haiz...we may be in the top 3, for the 3rd time running, but only managed a 3rd place finish. At least there are some nice prizes that my family and I won.

We lost to my cousin's family by a freaking small difference. We lost, for second place, by 1.5 points!! Haiz...we couldn't match our last years result, which was a 2nd place finish. My cousin's family was last year's winner. My father's friend, which was last years 3rd place finisher, came in fourth. Some new group won by 9 points from my cousin's family.

They took advantage of the last obstacle, putting! They were divided into different categories. 2 team members are to do the putting. I did mine, but it was 6 feet. Managed to only get 2 out of 5. My dad got 1/5. The winning family cheated! 15 years and below, gets 3 feet. This guy was taller than me, but claimed to be younger. As well as his sister. They got, in total, 9 out of 10 putts.

So, during one of the weekends, sometime this year, one of our prizes, we're going to Damai Laut ( the same prize we both won last year) for a 2D 1N stay.
Hopefully next year, our luck would change, and we would get 1st place for once.

Out of the topic,
Today, my classmates and I went to Old Town for our break, and guess what the price came out to be.

RM 44 .44!!

This is serious, no joke! What an unlucky number! I'll try to get the receipt from one of my friends, and take a pic of it.

Today was a relatively good day, as the weather was great, and starting tomorrow, won't have to study so much! =)

We're going for the Idris Jala talk about leadership and winning success on the 2nd period, for the rest of the day, and next week, got 2 days off!! yeah!

Maybe badminton? We'll see,

until then...cyaz!

Saturday, April 21, 2007

1 more day!!

This 2 weeks of holiday...hmmm....didn't do anything that's productive.

My PS 2 was only , I think, turned on a couple of times...no new games, kinda bored. =(
Play badminton quite immensely. I think I played around 7 times!! So its like playing every 2 days. I think my game has improved dramatically, and my old foes, and new ones, are starting to worry...hehe! Eu Yang and Hee ian are gonna start training very soon. Next month I think =). But that would be bad for me =( . And Hock Chin say that if I can beat him, and Eu Yang goes training, he would rejoin the training. Competition starting to heat up!

Highlights of the whole holiday! I got a new phone, K618i ! It is so freaking nice! And I heard from Eu Yang, Teck Weng bought the same phone as well...great minds think alike...hehe!
The other thing would be tomorrow, TREASURE HUNT by Saujana! I can't remember how many times my family and I took part, but the best we got was only 2nd place. Hope to do better this time, and the good thing is that this time round, the hunt will be around the Klang Valley area! HOMEGROUND ADVANTAGE!!!

Nothing else, cya next time, or this coming Monday...=)

The greatest match EVER!!!

This morning, I played badminton with 3 other friends. Wyhow, Erik and Hock Chin.
I went to play that morning thinking I was the 2nd best player of the day, after my win over Wyhow (21-18, 21-15) sometime last week.

He came back with a vengeance!!!!

Wyhow and I played 1 game, which he won ( 21-19). it was a close match, but he emerged ahead of me. A bit of disappointment for me, but I thought, what the heck. I'll get him later. I DIDN'T.

This was because later after a few doubles match, Wyhow was fighting Hock Chin, and I was fighting Erik. I LOST!!!! 21-13!! That was the score and the biggest lost for me since Form 5!!. I can't remember at all the last time Erik had beaten me. Too demoralized to pick a fight with Wyhow. But I still went on to challenge Hock Chin, as I know his game quite well. It was the match I would remember for a very very long time, after the time I had lost to him 22-20 in form 5.

No doubt I lost to Hock Chin 21-9, 21-10, he had to fight me almost as much as he would have too, against Hee Ian. I was a different player altogether, and this was the first time I got Hock Chin to push himself a lot during any of our matches so far. I smashed at him in the first game, I don't know at which point, about 7 times...CONTINUOUSLY!!! It was crazy to the both of us. I've never smashed so many times in a game before! He was bewildered, and so was I!!

There were also times when I did some shots, from what I've learned in training, like a cross-court drop shot. It was amazing!! Hock Chin couldn't even retrieve it! And many more of my shots and smashes made Hock Chin let out a sigh of frustration, because he couldn't hit it back!! It was 2 good matches, but I still lost in the end. Ask Hock Chin about any of the details, and he would tell you the same...almost.

* The poll is still going on, but I just needed to post this up. cyaz

Since A-level students have 2 weeks break, and I have not a lot to post, I think this is a good time to post a voting poll!!

I cannot think of what to post, but, I have a few ideas that I want to materialize.
Please vote the following:
1) My 5 Beta Friends
2) My PL1 Friends
3) My Holiday Happenings.
4) Everything You Need To Know About Me!!
5) Others ( by popular demand)

*please choose one, and don't spam my chat box with the votes, kindly place your votes by placing a comment on this post. Just use anonymous, and type your name with your vote.

I'll be posting the topic by Tuesday next week, so this gives the voting poll about a week.

Happy holidays to A-level students, and good luck to the rest.

My Future Battlefield!!

This morning, my classmates and I went on a school ( college actually...u know what i mean) trip, where we took a look at what might be our future battlefield. Don't worry, we're not going to war...but then again, maybe.

Our trip was to the Sessions and Magistrates Court in KL. It was fascinating to see so many things happening, and this is the first time, I've seen so many lawyers walking in and out. All of them in coats and tie. There were 27 of us altogether, including some from the June intake. Too bad i don't have a camera, but I'll see if I can get any pictures from my friend.

Firstly, we were told by Miss Harjit( our mentor) that we have to wear a shirt and not a t-shirt, and no jeans. So I wore a blue coloured long sleeve shirt. When I went to college in the morning, I was like, oh no...I'm over dressed! This was because Eu Jin and Kamal( from PL 2) were both wearing collared t-shirts. Miss Marguerite ( PL2's mentor) told them that as long as its a collared t-shirt. Then when Dominic came ( PL2 as well), I was even more like oh no!

BUT...when Wei Shiung came, I was more calm. He was more over dressed than I was. Then me and him went to the cafeteria to meet up with Su Wei and Juna. After sometime, and it was almost 8.30(which was the time we left), we decided to go out and wait for the bus. Both Wei Shiung and I let out a sigh of relief when we saw all the others who were joining us for this trip, all formally dressed!! Eu Jin, Kamal, and Dominic were starting to get worried, but later, everything turned out just fine.

We were greeted by 4 people working there, one of them was a judge, and then later split up into 2 groups. 1 group would go to the Civil courts, while the other was to go to the Criminal courts, then later switch.

My group ( going to the Civil courts first) was divided into another 2 groups. There, both groups went into different courts. I was with Juna and some other PL2 people, while Wei Shiung, Eu Jin and Su Wei were with some other people in another court. But all we got to hear was the mentioning of the cases. Well, we couldn't hear anything at all, because the lawyers were speaking to the judge as if others weren't here, and the way they speak doesn't strike me as to how lawyers should speak. They were quite timid, and the loudest person there was the woman calling out for the lawyers to bring their case forward.

After the civil courts, we went to the criminal courts. But only my group( the one that went into the same civil court) would be attending!! Lol, they didn't get into trouble, Wei Shiung's group went back to the conference room after their civil court trip. We waited for them, and Miss Marguerite went to find them, but to no avail. So we decided not to wait for them.

The Criminal section of the whole place was filled with people. This tells you how many crimes are committed everyday in Malaysia, and there were a lot of police officers around as well. All the courts were so full, until only the 5th court, we managed to get inside and sit down to see what was going on. The court we went in, there was a lock-up on the side, where all the criminals were put to wait for their hearing to be called. Quite fascinating!!

After all of that, we went back to the conference room, where all the others were waiting for us. When we told them even a bit about the criminal court, they were like, "So bad!!". Then during the time we were in the conference room, some questions were asked by some of the other students, and then we left.

Back to the bus to go back to college. Pity all those still at college, no holiday for them. We had burger king then stayed back for a while, then we dispersed back home.

*I did not write in detail about the court trip...lazy to write so much.

Till next time.

THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE!!!

Finally, holidays are here. Can't wait to play badminton though...2 weeks full of it! My PS 2, even though I very much look forward to it, I don't have many new games. I'm going to have to play all my old games...this may give me time to brush up on my skills in CTR ( Crash Team Racing).

CTR is one addictive game, and I only have short list of people, who has managed to beat me in this game before.
1) Ian Chong ( Bloody damn good!!)
2) My Brother ( sebastian)
3) and one of my brother's friend

But the list has just gone longer! Koh Wyhow, manage to beat me in this game, AT MY OWN GAME!!! That's not fair!...i should've won! If you ask anyone who saw me and him race it out, they would tell you that he's damn lucky!! I'm gonna get a re-match...my pride is at stake!!
*ps* i'm gonna beat him in badminton as well.

Out of the topic, holidays to me are very relaxing, but then, I would prefer to go to school, as at home...I have nothing to do. My study time is longer, I don't have any new games for my PS 2 or PC and even if i did, i wouldn't get bored of it very very fast. So this holiday, I intend to play badminton quite often, if not, i'll die of boredom.

Oh, and one more thing, I'll be going to court on Monday!...No, i'm not being sued or anything, its a class trip to the court in KL. Attire, formal!!! I don't have any formal shirts or shoes. My shoes that i'm currently wearing everyday, a bit worn out, and i don't fancy wearing shirts. So, i gotta do something.
Would be interesting to see what my classmates wear.

anyone managed to do the tongue twister? and by the way, everyone seems a bit slow with their posting on their blogs? i'm very bored...and people keep asking me to update my blog...LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!

Just because...

Sorry, for the very very very late continuation of posts on my blog. This is because
1) nothing much to post
2) no time to post anything else
3) pretty much the same as 1 and 2...lolz

I'm only posting this because there are people wanting me to do so...if any1 can give me anything they want me to post about, just a title, i would gladly do it...nothing interestin has popped up...other then my classmates saying that i'm very talkative nowadays ( isn't that right su wei).

Here's something that will make you practise for sometime...say it when you see me, if you can master it by then.

( my aunt taught me this)
Betty bought a bit of butter,
but the butter Betty bought was bitter,
so Betty bought a better bit of butter,
than the butter Betty bought before.

here's another...its quite a simple and old one ( since i was in primary school). See if any of you guyz know it.

How much wood can a Woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck can chuck wood.

happy tongue twisting.=)

Disappointing and weird day

Firstly, today on the way home, I almost got conned. At the pedestrian bridge connecting SS15 and SS 14, an Indian guy standing there told me a wicked story!!

He told me that he was sent by his company to deliver a letter!! Can't the postman do it!? And he said that its raining, so he's stuck on the bridge!! A colleague of his dropped him here to deliver it, and he will take a taxi back. But then, with so much expression on his face, he said that he left all his things in the colleague's car, including his wallet and hand phone!!

He asked me to lend him my phone so that he can call the colleague to bring all his stuff here, and that's not all, I denied...of course, and then he ask me to give him some money to take a bloody taxi back to his house!?

So many freaking flaws in what he's saying. I mean, the rain isn't all that heavy, and there are so many shops that would most likely let him make a phone call to someone!! I just said no to everything, and walked away.

As s street smart person *coughing in the background* , I of course wouldn't do anything... I'm not stupid or anything!! This would only work on a baby...even then, a baby wouldn't even for fall it...old trick mister!!

Anywayz, Badminton today...DISASTER!!
I played Horribly! All my net shots couldn't go through, my smashes were hitting the net, and my estimation of whether the shuttlecock is out or in, just went WRONG!!!

Me and Eu Jin lost to Basil and his friend (which is a state player) 21-14. Then, Me and Erik, lost to Eu Jin and some guy, Wayne (whose playing style is very..."Unique")21-16. And I lost to Eu Jin in a singles match, 21-13!! I mean, how could I have lost. I gotta do something about all this, coz hock chin and hee ian are the ones i gotta beat!! and if i lose to Eu Jin just like that, there's no way to get near hee ian, or even hock chin. Haiz...

lousy day for badminton, anyone interested in playing end of next week? coz my holiday, starts after that. I wanna fight hock chin, long time never challenge him ledi.

Very hectic right up till next Tuesday.

This whole week, its gonna be full of 'activities', which actually means, that i'm gonna be busy every single day...haiz. Since I have nothing better to post, I'll just tell you whats gonna happen every single day till next tuesday.

Today ( Tuesday)

Mrs Sujata ( below), my business studies teacher has given us certain projects to do, and my group ( Eu Jin, Juna, Izzy, Yue Ling, Benjamin and I) has been assinged to do a survey and make a comparison. About what? That, only tomorrow we are gonna discuss about. We are gonna to carry out this survey this Friday after school. Study law and business.

Wednesday

On this day, we're gonna need to do a lot of climbing up and down the staircase. Because the trial exams for the As and A2 are going on, so our classes has been moved. Most of the classes are at 3.15 other than business which is at C 15, and the Letcures, which are still at LT 8. So, the whole day we're gonna be very tired from all the walking...good training for me for my badminton the following day...lolz! Study Law.

Thursday

This day is the only day I get to play badminton for the week, so i'll need to play as much as possible. And this day is the day i'm gonna beat Hee Ian and Basil/Erik with Eu Jin...AGAIN!!! MUAHAHAHA!!! And i'm gonna settle the score against Eu Jin, which was a tie last week. So, I'm gonna need to do a lot better. Oh, and my uncle and aunt are coming for a holiday, en route to Europe. Study Law.

Friday

After school, we're gonna do the survey. The places most likely we're gonna do it are at Sunway Pyramid, Subang Parade, Carrefour, Giant and Mydin. Its definitely gonna be a tiring day. Wish Me Luck!! Study Law.

Saturday and Sunday

During the weekend, i'm going back with my family to Ipoh for 'Ching Ming'. 2 things I like about 'ching ming' is the time when buying all the praying items and seeing all the unique paper items for burning. I saw a PS 1 once...no kidding!! And the 2nd thing is going to the cemetary and putting all the incense. Kinda fun. Study Law.

Monday

Why did you think I put all the " Study Law" after every day of the week. Take a good guess why...

Tuesday

Presentation day for the business survey.

Thats all folks!!

I'm not who I used to be...

This may well be one of my longest post...EVER!!
This year, I'll be turning 17, but the 15th and the 16th year of my life was the most fun I had as my class( Form 4/5 Beta) was the perfect class, and I had the perfect friends. =)

This was the only class I stayed with together for 2 years, as in previous years, I would go to a lower class.

This picture beside, we're with our Moral teacher...and I think you would be able to spot me out. This isn't our whole class, but it is one of the nicest looking one with me and my class.

Lets start with Form 4. I only knew a few people then. Shaun and Ken Hou were the two I knew best, as I was in the same class as them in Form 2(Omega). I sat with Shaun since day 1, and as time went on, the whole class was getting to know each other really well.

This was us when we were in Form 4.( sorry if the pic is a bit blur)

We had all kinds of things to talk about, and not one day would be boring. This is also the time when i got back my passion for badminton because about 7 people in my class has an interest in this game.

The good ones are Hock Chin, Erwin, and Eu Yang. They are the ones I have always wanted to beat, and till today, they still are.

The teacher on the right ( yes! to all Betas, you know what i'm gonna talk about.), is our accounts teacher. Name, Pn Pan( Low Kwee Fong). At first, I always looked forward to her lessons, but as time passed, everyone knew why our seniors always complain about her.

She will always 'char' you, if you don't do her work, don't get good results for her paper, and especially if you're one of the weaker ones. I think majority were weak, so there were always many 'shows' to watch during accounts class, and no one ever wanted to be the 'main actor' for the lesson...but if anyone knows, I was the 'main actor' for quite some time during Form 4, but less during Form 5 as Ian Kok took over my role...LOLZ =).

We would always talk about teachers behind their backs ( isn't that what all students do?), especially PAN! No one could ever stand her, and, if i'm not mistaken, she threatened us, if we did not hand in her work, she would minus marks from our exam...MEAN!!! =(

She would also discriminate the weaker students from the strong ones, like "the weaker ones, do Question 1, 2, 3. The strong ones do 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on." I mean which teacher does that?! Shouldn't it be the other way around? Enough about accounts, I could go on forever.

In Form 5, there was another teacher who was a menace, but mainly only to Shaun...Pn Christina!!! Too bad I don't have her picture. She was our Chemistry teacher.

When we moved on to Form 5, my grades were getting better, and some pressure was lifted off of me from some subjects. And I sat with Shaun, again, until around mid-year. We would always talk about whats in the news, especially about Bush, if there are any news about him, and about law. Both of us want to be lawyers ( but he's on the fence right now), and always joked about setting up 'Wong and Kang'...or was it 'Kang and Wong' like he always said.

Hock Chin, Lai Hing and Eu Yang are seated around us, and we would always talk, mainly crap, and we would most of the times, 'char' each other as well, but I get most of it as they would always group up and 'char' me...right Eu Yang?!...LOLZ. =). Haiz, good old days.

The guys head turning away is Hock Chin, and you can see part of my head. The guy beside me is Eu Yang...the noisy one, and the one in front of him is Lai Hing...I'm not sure where Shaun is at that time.

I was, and still am, the one to always challenge Hock Chin to a one-on-one badminton match, and he always accepted it. But I was also known as the one to never beat Hock Chin and always boast about beating him...hehe. I'll get you one day...mark my word! =)

Our class, quite often played badminton together, and it was always never fun to lose to Hock Chin in front of them...lolz.

I was always the talkative one, talking about badminton and other crappy stuff. I think ( any Betas, please clarify my statement if required), I was one of the most jovial person in my class, next to Eu Yang (as seen in the picture above). And I can still remember, my signature thing I always did...lolz. I was always the first one to say "Hi !" to anyone in the class or entering, and I would sometimes disturb Hock Chin, and just say "Hi", and he would say, "crap la you", and turn away...lolz. Yup, I have to much time on my hand.

I would seldom get angry ( I think only a couple of times), and when I do, it is usually a big issue and some would say, "Whoa! Justin can get angry"...lolz. =). And I'm seldom very quiet in class, too much to talk about.

My best friend is Shaun Kang. He knows a lot about me( more than any of my other friends), and we would always 'click' when talking about many topics. For the rest of the 5 Beta, I would feel comfortable being around them, as they are great friends.

Like in my current class( PL1), I'm now so so so so quiet. Because, they're, most of the time, not on the same wave line as me. They talk about music, I talk( seldom) about other stuff. I'm just not myself or like how I was in 5 Beta. My attitude and my actions are totally different from when I was studying in Subang Utama. My classmates are nice people, but I'm more comfortable with BETA!! I, most of the time just listen in on their conversation, and give a smile or laugh once in a while if there is anything funny.

I seriously miss 5 Beta, so I actually intend on doing something...its a secret, shhhh.

Even though these 2 years was the roughest time I had ( I had tuition at least 3 hours a day, and my results we're slipping like nobodies business, but regained quite a bit during Form 5), I came out on top a winner, with friends like Shaun, Hock Chin, Ken Hou, Eu Yang, Shien Ken, Lai Hing, Teck Weng, Adeline, Tieng Wei, Yean Ling, Pei Min, Ann Li, Rabiatul, Hazwani and the other 5 Beta students.

This is us

These are just some random pics of me and my class.

I have much more pictures of my class, but I think for the time being, this is alright.

*Maybe i'll use 'Flickr" to post my photos.

This post is to all 5 Betas out there!! Hoped you enjoyed it.

Sports update...i'm a bit slow for this news.

This post may seem a little old, if you have read the newspaper today.

In Formula 1,

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen bagged his first win with the Scuderia team at Melbourne. He led from start to finish without any problems at all. But his team mate, Felipe Massa had to pick his way through 16 cars, when he started from the back of the grid after a 10 position penalty due to an engine change. He had to settle for 6th place, because he didn't have enough time to overtake the Renault of Giancarlo Fisichella, eventhough Massa had a much faster car.

Kimi currently leads the head of the standings followed by the 2 Mclarens of Alonso and Hamilton who finished 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Mclarens head the constructors championship with 14 points followed by Ferrari with 13 points.

In Badminton,
China, bagged 3 gold medals from the Swiss Open, while another 2 won by Malaysia and Korea.

China's Chen Jin played a class above his opponent, Simon Santoso of Indonesia, and defeated him in 2 straight games.

In the mens doubles, it was another disappointing outing for the World number 2 Danish pair of Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard Hansen. This is their 3rd defeat to Malaysia's hotshots Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong. The Danes were controlling the shuttle most of the time in the 1st game and Koo-Tan couldn't recover.
But in the 2nd game, the Danes were struggling with the speed of the Malaysians, and a rubber set was required. In this last game, the Danes were just no where near the Malaysians speed, net play and fast smashes, and they had to bow down 21-12.

The Malaysian pairing of Koo-Tan are letting known that they are the ones to beat in the world after they dispose the World Champions, Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng in the quarterfinals, legends, Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan and now the European Champions, Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard.

Well, what i say is, i dislike them alot after they start to beat all my favourite doubles players consistently. I really hope that some other pair would defeat them because their heads are getting to big, especially Koo Kien Keat.

* Check out The Trattoria for another recipe tomorrow.

I'm in pain!!!

Okay...it isn't that painful, but it is very irritating. What i'm talking about, is my legs and my right shoulder are aching. Badminton training today, even though not as demanding as last week, got the better of me.

The good thing is, my brother and I are just slightly weaker than the top 5. So it wasn't too bad and, even though, we lost to two of them in doubles(21-14), it was quite close and my shots are getting much much better...watch out Hock Chin!! Lolz.
Another good thing is that I beat my brother 21-19. It may seem too close to tell who is better than the other, but at least i can break his momentum of beating me consistently.

Tonight, there are the semi-final matches of the Swiss Open going on. Its at 9 pm , if i'm not mistaken. Only one Malaysian flag is being beared at this tournament...Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong. You would most likely recognise their names, as they are the winners of the prestigious All-England tournament. They will be going up against the legends, Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan tonight. So, don't miss it.

And in Formula 1, the beginning of the season has begun. In qualifying today, Kimi Raikkonen, who is replacing the great Michael Schumacher after his retirement at Ferrari last year, stole pole position from the Mclarens, after Felipe Massa, from Ferrari, had some problems with his car.

The surprise of the day was when the Super Aguri cars were performing extremely well, after a disappointing season last year, and Takuma Sato manage a 10th position on the grid. Lewis Hamilton, of Mclaren, is proving to everyone that he is a force to be reckon with an astounding performance on his debut season.
Tomorrow's race is bound to be an exciting one!

*New update on Trattoria.
