Kimi Raikkonen was the outside bet to win the Driver's World Championship title. He was seven points adrift of Hamilton, and 3 points of Alonso, and with the Mclaren's sheer pace throughout the whole season, Kimi would need a miracle to happen, and it did.
With Hamilton's problem early on in the race, which made him drop to 18th position, it was a much needed scenario for Kimi.
The whole race was full of surprises, and towards the closing laps, I held my breath, as I thought that something was going to happen to Kimi's car. But, everything went smoothly, and on the last corner, Kimi past the line for the last time this season. He has won the Brazilian GP, but it would still be unsure if he would win the Driver's title.
And as Rosberg, Kubica, and Heidfeld cross the line, that would mean that Hamilton will stay at 7th position, and Kimi the Champion.
In 1986, the last race was at Australia, with 3 drivers, all with a shot at winning the title. Mansell, Piquet and Prost. Prost was the outside bet like Kimi, to win the title, but win it , he did.
History was in Kimi's favour.
Eu Jin, surprisingly, watched the race as well. I was actually quite surprised when I saw his sms after the race at 1.45 am.
Got Thinking skills paper tomorrow, so, that's all.
Ferrari lost a champion with the departure of Michael Schumacher, but found a new one with Kimi Raikkonen, The Flying Finn!!
