The "Fire" is gone...

"It was once blazing, with extreme heat and passion, dancing with the wind!...now, it is gone."

If the line above still clouds you with confusion, then, you haven't seen me play in a long while.

In plain english, my badminton is in an all-time low. Its gotten worse since my previous post. I just can't get my game right. Everything seems to be going wrong.

Shots that were easy before, have now become hard to play. I can't even get continously lob with Hee Ian from the back of the court. Its so frustrating!! *pulling hair*

Problems in my game:
-can't lob to the back of the court
-can't play net shots tightly
-can't play cross net
-can't drop shot from the back
-can't play backhand properly
-can't cross court smash like I use to
-can't play under pressure anymore
-can't play at fast speeds
-can't beat Hock Chin ( lol...never could, anyway)

So many problems in my game, but can't seem to rectify them.

And, my main problem is, I don't have any new motivation to push me to play badminton anymore. The fire in me, has been put out recently. I used to never give up, and keep pushing myself even though I was losing, especially against Hock Chin in Form 4 and sometimes in Form 5.

Ever since the beginning of semester 2 , I couldn't find my edge, my motivation, and my desire.

Now, Erik is even more motivated to beat me in badminton. And I don't blame him, because of the lack of desire in me to win anymore.

And, I can't improve on my game this week, as there isn't any training this weekend. The good thing is, I can finish up my law assignment on Intention.

My prime has come and gone, but hopefully not forever, and not for long...

Too many things...very busy

Today, Sunday, coincidentally many things are happening today.

Time: 11.35 am.

Firstly, Miss Harjit is giving us a law test on offer & acceptance and consideration( i dislike this topic a lot). This means that some reading has to be done. ELS was so much more easier, when it comes to stuff like this. In contract, so many cases need to be remembered and there are so many rules to know. Lets hope that I can remember as much as possible =).

Next, in Formula 1; luckily Lewis Hamilton didn't get injured after his horrific crash during qualifying yesterday. And, Congrats to Kimi for taking pole position for Ferrari. Tonight will be the race at Nurburging. Pray that Kimi will win.

FORZA FERRARI!!

And in the afternoon, the final round of the Philippines Open will be showing live. I think Chong Wei would win the title, over 1st seed, and World No. 2 Chen Hong.
In the men doubles, it would be a bit hard to say who will win. The match will be between Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and China's Guo Zhendong-Xie Zhongbo, and the Chinese pair have been performing exceptionally well in this tournament, knocking out 2nd seed Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan.

And finally, speaking about badminton, my form in playing is currently in a slump. Although my net shots are getting tighter, I just don't seem to have the motivation to play at a higher level and I can't really cope under pressure. I need to find a new motivation, so that I can push myself to play harder, and faster. My past motivation, is gone with the wind...lol.

I'm starting to lose to my brother much more. I haven't beaten him in the past 3 weeks. If this continues, I might even lose to Erik again!! ( but this possibility, I think is highly unlikely...hehe). So, things have been going through my mind on how to improve, and it needs to happen quickly.

So that's all, I'll keep you updated with my training =)

Which one would've been the better choice?

14th of July, Saturday.

Chocolate Factory (Beryls), or badminton training? hmmmm....

A trip to the chocolate factory might have been nice, may have bought chocolates to indulge myself in.
But, if I did go for the trip, I wouldn't have been able to improve myself in badminton, especially with the vigorous training that we did today.

Even though I injured my back in the process, I learned a hell lot today! Apart from my uninspiring performance against my brother, in which I lost (21-17), the whole day was great!!
Another highlight would be me and my brother defeating Hee Ian-Eu Yang, 14-21, 21-16, 21-16!! That was revenge for them beating us previously.

Oh, and by the way, I'm not easy meat to kill, Erik.

Wonder if my classmates enjoyed themselves during the trip? Hope you did.

I have to admit, I may not be able to beat Hock Chin just yet, but i'll get him very soon. ( Its very hard to write this down for me...LOL!!!)

Any chance of a Beta get-together badminton game? I'm dying just to play with you guys again. You guys are the only ones that I can rely on to come in full force, one big group!!

Lets all pray,
that China will not produce a clean sweep in the China Masters, and that others will be able to upset them in the finals tomorrow, especially the fired up Choong Hann!!!

A New Start

The 2nd semester for A-levels has just started ( well, its been 3 days, so...). We have already started learning contract law, and other subjects have yet to start the A2 syllabus.

The time table, to me, isn't a nice one ( apart from Monday and Wednesday where I start at 9). There are breaks like after every 1 or 2 classes ( That's because I don't take maths =D). So, its like, up and down almost the whole day. Tiring!!!

Apart from the new sem beginning,
in Formula 1, Ferrari are starting their fight back after 3 races of Mclaren domination. This situation for Ferrari is similar to last year, where Michael Schumacher fought back in his championship bid, and Ferrari brought the fight back to Renault, and Alonso!! But unfortunately, 2 mechanical failures in Japan and Brazil destroyed Michael's chances of winning =(. Hopefully, Ferrari can fight back at the top step again, but this time, win the championship!!

FORZA FERRARI!!!

Also another new start,

the beginning for me to take the fight to Hock Chin!! My style of playing badminton has changed. This new style, has given me much confidence that I need. I just need to train this style of playing, maybe for a couple more months, and Hock Chin will be DETHRONED by me!!!

Today, I stamped my authority down, by beating Eu Jin 21-18, 21-14. He was very clam the whole time, and I was getting very anxious to beat him quickly, but that cost me. He gained confidence, and bag in points fairly quick. I needed to stop playing so predictably, and change the pace of my play. It worked, and I know it will work against Hock Chin!!

I'll be more than glad to play against anyone who challenges me, after reading this...hehe, including Hee Ian!! I'm sure those who will comment on this will be Eu Yang and Wyhow. LOL!!

Btw,
tonight at 8 o'clock, Jamie Oliver's new series on channel 11, Travel and Living!!! Don't miss it.
