Sports update...i'm a bit slow for this news.

This post may seem a little old, if you have read the newspaper today.

In Formula 1,

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen bagged his first win with the Scuderia team at Melbourne. He led from start to finish without any problems at all. But his team mate, Felipe Massa had to pick his way through 16 cars, when he started from the back of the grid after a 10 position penalty due to an engine change. He had to settle for 6th place, because he didn't have enough time to overtake the Renault of Giancarlo Fisichella, eventhough Massa had a much faster car.

Kimi currently leads the head of the standings followed by the 2 Mclarens of Alonso and Hamilton who finished 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Mclarens head the constructors championship with 14 points followed by Ferrari with 13 points.

In Badminton,
China, bagged 3 gold medals from the Swiss Open, while another 2 won by Malaysia and Korea.

China's Chen Jin played a class above his opponent, Simon Santoso of Indonesia, and defeated him in 2 straight games.

In the mens doubles, it was another disappointing outing for the World number 2 Danish pair of Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard Hansen. This is their 3rd defeat to Malaysia's hotshots Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong. The Danes were controlling the shuttle most of the time in the 1st game and Koo-Tan couldn't recover.
But in the 2nd game, the Danes were struggling with the speed of the Malaysians, and a rubber set was required. In this last game, the Danes were just no where near the Malaysians speed, net play and fast smashes, and they had to bow down 21-12.

The Malaysian pairing of Koo-Tan are letting known that they are the ones to beat in the world after they dispose the World Champions, Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng in the quarterfinals, legends, Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan and now the European Champions, Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard.

Well, what i say is, i dislike them alot after they start to beat all my favourite doubles players consistently. I really hope that some other pair would defeat them because their heads are getting to big, especially Koo Kien Keat.
