Work + Work - time = Law!!

I have 3 assignments to hand in, 3 tutorials to complete...all in 2 weeks!!

Well, my criminal assessed work was supposed to be handed in at a later date, but because of my Vietnam study trip...I have to complete it before I leave if not I won't have enough time...=(

*ARGH!!*

Damn stressed-out!!!

To top it off, "that cold-hearted woman" divided a topic amongst the 'class', but only about 8 of us were chosen to do the work!!...and I was one of the 'chosen one'...CURSE YOU!!!

We need to read up on cases and present it to the class on PowerPoint. Additional work in my already limited time!!!
And "she" asked me to find this journal and print it out...guess what, it can't be found on either LexisNexis or Westlaw!!!

What the hell is this man...is "she" trying to kill me?!

No life for the next 2 weeks. Well, haven't had much of a life since I started law.

I could use a breather right about now...and I made the wrong decision to go to Vietnam.

*needs HELP!!!!

Whose stupid idea was it to study law!!!

DEFINITELY NOT MINE!!!!

I so envy Harris right now...

I've come to a conclusion..."she" has no heart! =)
If you don't know who "she" is, then you will live a long and HAPPY life.

My mom was finding the Dong that my father had with him.
My father has a lot of different currencies.

Anyways, my father has in total 183600 Dong!!

LOLOLOLOL!!!

The moot...

One word....BAD.

I'm not gonna post about the moot here, cause I'm too lazy right now to do it. =P

I'm just glad that it is over, and I don't want to do mooting ever again in my life! =D

Good luck to everyone who have yet to moot!!

Community Service..=)

No...I wasn't charged by the courts to do this....

The Law school has a Community Service club, and most of us are taking turns to visit this home called Trinity Home(I think). A home or orphanages.
We're gonna raise funds for the home to build them a mini library. =)

This is the first week we're visiting them. My group consisted of Maureen, Cassandra, Sanjeve, Sara, Fay/Fei/Fey(I dunno how to spell her name) and myself.
Fay is from the Jan intake of the law school.

Sanjeve picked Sara up, then he picked me up at about 9.20am. None of my friends have ever found it easy to find my place...=P

We met up with Cassandra and Maureen at one of the photocopy centres in front of Taylors. When Fay came, then we left for the home.

Maureen had directions to the place on a piece of paper, and she gave it to Sanjeve. We went in 2 cars, Sanjeve and Cassandra were driving. Cassandra followed Sanjeve's car. The directions were quite simple to follow, and we reached there in no time.

There were about 15 kids there. Most of them are quite young. There are about 5 kids in secondary school.

The kids were all so cute, especially "Super Star"...=D

We are gonna raise funds by selling cookies and sweets(and cards I think) for Valentines Day.
Sara baked the cookies and brought them to the home to be decorated with sprinkles. The cookies were great!

The sweets were bought by Leena and were packed by the kids.

After we were done, we played some games with them. Then some of the kids(well the older ones) played football with Sanjeve, Cassandra and Fay.

Sara and myself were playing with the rest of the kids, indoors. Sara played carom, while I was playing Uno Stacko(don't know what the real name of the game is). The kids playing this had their own rules...=)
You can hold the stack while pulling the tiles out! It was very funny the way they were doing it...=)

After a while, those playing football came in to play carom and the stacking game(I'll refer this game by this name...=D).

"Super Star" kept building all kinds of stuff with the blocks from the stacking game. He even built a church!!!
Sanjeve took a picture, I'll try to get it from him.

The structure was amazing!!

It was about 12.30pm, and we decided to leave.

When we left, Maureen wanted to go to Mydin to see if there are ribbons for sale there. Sara needed to go home, and Sanjeve needed to take a bath after football.

Cassandra took Maureen and Fay to Mydin, while Sanjeve sent Sara back home and then I went to Sanjeve's house cause he needed a shower.

After that, we met up with Cassandra, Maureen and Fay for lunch at AC.

After lunch, then Sanjeve sent me home. Fay also stays in SS14 and she offered to send me home, but Sanjeve sent me home cause I left my bag in his car.

And now, I'm kinda tired, but I have to read up on the cases for the stupid moot this coming Thursday...haiz...

Cyaz!!

"NO, I CANNOT!"

This put the next hour or so into almost chaos!!

Today started of o...k. My parents left for Singapore early this morning to sort some stuff for my brother...leaving me and my sis with my grandparents. Well, that's not the story...=P

I had to wake up early to leave as I was driving to college on my own, for the first time I think, to get a parking lot near the SS14 bridge.

Fast forward to contract class.

"she" decided to start by recapping what we studied yesterday about fundamental breach. The first person that she shot at was Nicholas(he was sitting next to me). Then the next question was thrown at me...luckily I wrote down what the case was about in my module handbook..*escape*. =P
Any contract class is like 10 days of stress. *Feel free to comment me on this...=)

I think most people left the class with their spirits low...or in Nicholas' case, 'a fundamental breach' to his brain....XD

We went for lunch after class, but Ikram, Shermaine and Deborah had to go for a meeting with Mr Harmahinder.

So I went with Elisa, Nicholas, Justin Liew, Sanjeve and Cassandra to AC. When Nick, Justin and Sanjeve were about to leave for Criminal, Ikram, Shermaine and Deborah arrived...=)
They had their lunch and we had no idea what to do for 2 hours.

Legal Skills was at 2pm.

Shermaine and Elisa went back to college to discuss their moot question. The 4 of us left went to the ECA to play foosball. RM2 for 10 balls. It was fun, but everyone was going for glory and it ended rather abruptly...lols

Lets play again some other time...I'll bring the 50cent coins....=D

After that we played a round of pingpong...if you can even call that pingpong. After the 3rd hit, every ball would fly out...LOL.

Then it was 2pm, and we left for legal skills class, which was actually Mr Lai giving a briefing on what to do for the moot...especially for all those starting next week(me included...*curse*).

The amount of work required to do, after listening to Mr Lai talk, is a hell lot!!

Oh, and for this moot, he said that we could ask our lecturers about the respective moot topic for help or advise. So we(myself, Justin, Nicol and Evelyn) saw "her" and this is what happened.

Justin Liew: Urm, miss. Can you help us with our moot question?
"her": No, I cannot.

*walks further away

"her": Yours is contract is it?
Us: Yeah.

*sarcastic smile

This all happened outside of the class that we just had our briefing.

We told Mr Lai about it...*another smile from a lecturer*

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!

We decided to see Ms Usha about our moot problem after 2 lecturers did not seem interested to offer help or even advise.
Ms Usha was our former Tort lecturer, and one of the most approachable and student-friendly lecturers we had.

She helped us out by guiding us what to do. I really appreciate her helping us out...=D

Thank You Ms Usha!!!!!

After we left her office, I met Ms Sujata, my A-levels Business Studies lecturer. We talked a bit about some stuff, and then we gossiped....lols!!
After the gossip, she was a bit worried about some stuff. I apologise if I worried her about her son's prospect of studying law at a place that I know very well...

Then she left for her office, and I met Deborah and Shermaine outside the Pre-U Office. We gossiped some more...=D

After that we left our separate ways.

On the way home I bought The Star and a can of A&W Rootbeer...nice.

Didn't have much time to read it as all of a sudden when I got home. The phone rang, Poslaju guy came after i just hung up, needed to find shampoo for my grandmother, phone rang again, took a shower, another phone rang, blogging(paused for a while), ran downstairs to call someone for my grandfather, continued blogging, phone rang.
*all the phone calls were different people

Dinner will be at my uncle's house, but my sister wants to try out the new Japanese Restaurant. My mom said we could do so. XD

So I think I deserve a break...
Don't you think so? =D

*ps.
I for got to add that the bundle of authorities which can be hundreds of pages long, the cost of printing and binding 5 copies of it has to be paid for ourselves!!
And this mooting is compulsory work!!
Cheapskates!!
