London at the moment.

Yesterday.
Took a train from Reading to London Paddington.
Used the Bakerloo Underground line from Paddington to Baker Street and then Metropolitan line from Baker Street to Harrow-on-the-Hill.

My aunt picked me up and we headed to Loon Foong and then Sainsbury's.
Got my Jamie magazine. =)

Today.
Opened my presents from my aunt! WEEEEEE!! Got nice stuff. =D
Left the house at 1pm. Went to the Crispy Duck in Chinatown. Nice dim sum. =D

Watched Avatar with my aunt. FUYOH!!! nice nice show. =D

*SCHUMACHER IS COMING BACK TO F1!!! =D
The best in the world will once again rule the track!
but, how to support? Schumi? or Ferrari?
=(
Dammit. Ferrari win constructors title and Schumi win world title? =)

Good balance.

Kk. Cya later =)

You. Yes, You.

I'm talking to all my "en-suite room, self catered hall" lovers. LOLS!

Childs hall is going to be demolished when the summer break starts.

Now, next to Childs, they're building a new Halls of Residence. Stenton Hall.

It's gonna be massive. So far, it's 7 stories high. According to the UoR newspaper, Spark*, it will be en-suite student bedrooms, with self-catered facilities.

Now, once that hall is open, it will be THE best option to stay if you want your bathroom to your self. It's gonna be amazing. On average, 5 minutes walk to everywhere..except Agriculture building. It might take 10 minutes.

BUT!

The construction work on the new hall is believed to have a 2 week margin, between completion date and the beginning of Freshers' Week 2010.
That is cutting it real close.
Not sure if they can get it done in time.

Happy Holidays!!!!

End of term.

It's been a good day so far...=)

Woke up this morning, and all I could see was...

..

nothing. LOLS!!

It was super foggy this morning.

Left for class at 11.40am.
Walking pass the lake towards the campus was surreal.

I could almost imagine Theoden and the Rohirrim riding from the tree line on one side, and the orcs on the other...LOLS!!!

Had a pasty for lunch. =D
The last lecture ended at 2.45pm.

Checked mail..got a Tesco voucher(worth....£1) and my railcard. =)

Now let's see if the night will end on a high. The smell of roast turkey in the morning is too much...=)

Tomorrow, Amethyst will be leaving, and Priscilla will be going to Liverpool(?), and on Tuesday Kristine will be leaving for home.

Have a safe trip people!!
and

MERRY X'MAS!!!!!!!

Where is Malaysia?

The University of Reading's law school will be sending 5 Year 2 students to Malaysia to gain experience about our legal system. UoR is organising this with Taylor's.

It's a 5 week programme during the summer. Prof. Patricia Leopold was giving out leaflets about this thing. And there's something about a writing credit about it as well..or something like that.

So she was explaining about it briefly before the lecture.

So everyone was talking about..or just talking.

And I heard many many funny things.
*This is what I heard all around me.

"Where is Malaysia?"

"Do you know where Malaysia is?"
"I think it's somewhere near Asia"

"Where is TUC? What is TUC?"
"Read the other page first. It says Taylor's University College"
"Oh..where is that?"

ROFL!!! Super funny.

Oh, and Taylor's really know how to make money...they're charging the students going over money as well.
£750 - tuition fees
£104 - student registration
£350 - student charge
------
£1204 x 5.5 = RM6622 x 5 students = RM33,110
------
This is only for 5 weeks. Damn easy money.

And it says here, that the students would experience teaching at TUC....now my question is...who is going to teach during the summer break?

And I'm guessing some of you might be asked to be host families to these 5 students. If got no host family, then they'll stay in TUC student accommodation...which means more money...LOLS!!!

Another 3 more days till holidays!!!

December...

What comes to mind is Christmas....AND PRESENTS!!!!

Thank you Poh Leng!! =D

This game ROCKS!!!

It's a strategy game. A genre that I pride myself in..=D
BUT,

It's not any old strategy game, like Red Alert, or Age of Empires, or Age of Mythology, or Command & Conquer(oh, btw...C&C 4 is coming out soon..=D).

This one has an element of RISK in it. During a mission, if the enemy overrun the place, you can retreat from the planet so that your soldiers don't die. OoO...
It's a totally different element to the normal ones, where you just build and attack, and build some more, and attack some more.

Here, you have to think about winning the war..not the battle...especially if you're the Rebel Alliance, as they have limited troops, unlike the Empire.

And there's another feature..."Cinematic View". IT'S SO AWESOME!!

You can attack, say a fleet of ships. Click the button. Then you can see the animation of the battle. cooool~
I did it once, then I almost forgot that it's an on going battle, luckily I remembered...=P

In about 8 hours time..Khiara would be on Malaysian soil, and..

in less than 24 hours, Yunrui would be back home as well, and..

in about 9 days time, Amethyst will also be back.

As for me, have to wait 7 months..=(
I want my Leung Kee wan tan mee, and my chicken rice, and my indian rojak, mee rebus....

Anyway, gotta get back to my game..=D
cyaz.

Too late...

Dammit!

Lord of The Rings: Conquest..

...

The £4.99 one is gone...='(
Now it's £19.99!!! ...

Did they just increase the price because X'mas is coming? haihs...

AND AND AND...

I found a £17.99 one for Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack!!!!!
It comes with the expansion pack..=D
And this game is DA BOMB!! It received superb reviews. It came out in 2006, bought the pirated version..didn't work...=(

Wonder if I can get this

AND AND AND

Star Wars the Clone Wars - Republic Heroes..

I FOUND A CHEAPER VERSION!! IT'S £17.99 AS WELL!!!! =D

I found this one from a website that Yunrui gave me. She bought L4D2 from there...at £24 i think...whoa..super pricey...but it looks super cooooooool~ =D

but..

I can only buy all these games probably next year...=(
Cause cannot get job this X'mas.

Need a stupid NI number to work.

Have to apply NI number myself...RUSU didn't help.

Have to set date for interview of identification, or something like that.

Will only receive my NI number in about 8 weeks.......

yes..
EIGHT LOOOOOOOOONG WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if I were to work at Argos, they would let me know within 4 weeks of my application...should've started doing all these when I came in October...

It will be the beginning of next term before I can even get my stupid NI number...

This might be a sign....

..

To prepare for my writing credit, Land assessed work, and whatever assignments left and catch up on studies.

Btw, is the library open during the x'mas break? Does anybody know? Will probably be hanging around there most of the time, and Student Village of course..=D

Ok, gotta go do Equity assignment...=S

*C'MON BARCELONA!!! Visca el Barca!!!

Anything and Everything.

THE game I've been waiting for! It came out in January this year..but it was super expensive. I don't know why..but I didn't want to buy a pirated copy..

And NOW, can get it for £4.99 incl VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something like RM25 only...FOR ORIGINAL!!!!!

Awesome~

AND...

Double awesomeness~

I saw this game at a game shop near the oracle. It was released early last month. The game play reminds me a lot like Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles...only with better graphics. I loved that game a lot!! I think I'm gonna love this one even more!! =D

But the reviews have been relatively poor...and a lot of the complaints were from the older generation, where they can't accept any other Star Wars games or video or whatever that has to do with the prequels! But there were also people giving good reviews!! =D I'll take those good reviews and for those other people who hates the prequels...why on earth did you buy this game then?

This game is still new..quite pricey. £29.99 for either the PC version or the PS2 version. =(

If I work during December...then I'll get both games as my X'mas present...hehe..XD

And in conjunction with this game..Lucas Arts has a FANTASTIC website.
I love the 3D Holocomm!!

My name is Calo Saam. Rank: Captain. I was a commander..but I messed up one of my Clone Weapons Training..=(

Moving on from games..

My aunts came yesterday!!! Had nasi lemak, curry chicken, pandan chicken, fried fish, belacan, acar(pickled vege..you know the one you put on prawn crackers), ikan bilis and kacang, and har kau. In the fridge still got "chan pau"(like char siu pau..but then in a different bun), and some coconut pastries, and loh mai kai...oh yeah..still got char siu pau. Got a lot of crisps and pringles and 1 big bottle of Ribena, sesame oil, soy sauce, chilli oil....and other stuff..=)

I can survive if there's an emergency...hehe..XD

Going to Asda tomorrow...only need to buy a few items, like chicken, vegetables. Shopping tomorrow won't cost me much, cause not much to buy...=)

Also, yesterday evening some of us went to Wellington Country Park for the Fireworks Fiesta. This was organised by the Lion group. It was for charity...and...£7000+ worth of fireworks....OoO
The place was on the edge of Reading. The taxi fare was £35! =(

It was soooooo cold!!! Luckily I wore 3 layers and I brought my gloves..=D
The fireworks was not bad..lasted for almost 30 minutes.

A lot of other places had fireworks as well over the last couple of days..because Bonfire Night was on the 5th of November.

*Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Read it up on Wiki...and watch V for Vendetta. =D

And the Lion group will be organising another one next year on the 6th of November.

Ok, gotta do my tutorial and read up stuff for the 3 non-assessed essays coming up...=(

Nottingham University Games 2009

Started the day by waking up at 2am. It wasn't very cold outside, surprisingly, so early in the morning.

Clarence and I were the first to arrive at the bus. It was a double decker bus...OoO.
But, the seats were a bit tight...

Bus left at around 4am.
The journey was tiring...and uncomfortable.

We stopped by a rest area on the way there. Others left the bus to get breakfast..I just slept on..=)

Reached Nottingham University at around 7.30-ish.

Waited for the Minister of Youth and Sports to arrive...M'sian timing..late as usual.
Went into the hall..and it was like back in school. PERHIMPUNAN. =S

Got prayers, Negaraku, stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down...grrr...

Oh oh..and someones English was not very good...XD

After that, Shaun and all went to the Malaysian Food Festival. It was quite far away and I didn't know what time my game was so I didn't follow them. Nottingham Uni has it's own bus system. OoO...

I played doubles with Ngai Chun. Our match was at 11.45am. Priscilla played singles. Zhun Kit and Wei Jeat played pool and Aizad, Ngai Chun, Cletus, Shang and others played basketball and Clarence played scrabble.

No medals for Reading this year..=(

In doubles...we got thrashed...big time. 21-7 or 21-8, can't quite remember. =(
We lost to Cardiff. The 2 guys were like in their late 30s or something...

Oh..and we had to supply our own shuttlecock to play...zzz...and the shuttlecock we used belonged to the other 2...super light weh...all our shots kept going out and all their shots were on line....haihs...before we could even get our footing into the game..they had already won...

Waste of time. I didn't even get to eat any Malaysian food because of it...=(
Everyone got back from the food festival and we all went to watch Aizad and gang play basketball. After that we decided to go to town.

We got off a stop right in the middle of town. Not the kind of shopping the others were looking for...LOLS!!

So after walking around town..we headed to the castle. On the way to the castle, we saw the Robin Hood museum closed. Shaun told me that Marina told him(XD) that it was closed for good cause they couldn't pay their rent or something..lol..and it was owned by Tesco..

We didn't have to pay for entering..nicee...

BUT, there was a catch...

The castle was closed. =/
So we could only explore the castle grounds and the weird museum(i say it's weird cause there were a lot of other stuff in the museum like some weird art and some world war uniforms..

The castle grounds were beautiful though..=D
Scenery was fantastic..and there was even a couple taking their wedding pictures there.

After that..went to Yates for dinner. There's a Yates in Reading as well...and the one in Reading is a lot cheaper...and the portions are a lot bigger. Most of them took the BBQ chicken melt..it looked kinda pathetic..and Dinesh's fish pie was something like 3/4 full..compared to the one in Reading where it's filled right to the brim of the dish.

I had the bacon and cheese burger...can't go wrong with that..=)
Buns don't change in size..hehe..XD

Left town for the Uni. Left the Uni at around 8pm. Got back at around 11.30pm.
Went on Facebook for a while..then slept still 10..=D

*Would I play in Nottingham again? maybe...NOT. but..there were a lot of lousy players there..we just weren't lucky with our draw..=P
*Would I go back to Nottingham next year? I wouldn't want to..i dread the journey..but if Ikram they all are going..I may just follow them..=)

1 month in Reading...

..35th day abroad.

..43rd day without playing badminton.

..258 days(or longer) till I reach home.

Went to the Asian store today. It's called Seewoo. It was nicee~
It feels like home, cause you get to see all the stuff that you can get back in Malaysia, and then some. THERE WAS A HUGE PACK OF HAR KAU FOR SALE!!! Not too sure how many there were inside the packet though..but it was selling for £15. =(

The stuff there are slightly more expensive than other Asian stores in London, cause it's the only one around. Monopoly. =(

But it's still alright. Bought some essentials like Hoisin sauce, wanton noodles, thick soy sauce, sesame oil...=D
Gonna start cooking fresh. A bit sick of frozen foods.
Gonna stock up my supply of food from Asda tomorrow.

Nottingham Malaysian Games 2009!
It's been 25 years since it was first started. =)
But I'll probably only get to play in it, in the 26th edition.

Badminton, they only want 1 player. =(
Ngai Chun wants to play. I want to play.
So I let him play cause it is his final year in the UK. =)

But I think it was a good decision, cause I haven't touched my badminton racquet in 43 days. I'm gonna be rusty like hell.
AND...

I GET TO EAT ALL THE MALAYSIAN FOOD I WANT!!!!! No need to worry about what time my match is or anything...=D
I'm really really excited about this trip!
BUT..

have to wake up super super early...the bus will be leaving at 3.30am! So cold..not sure how to get up...=P

Next year..I'm still gonna stay at Wessex Hall. =D
It isn't gonna bother me if everyone stays at Sherfield or wherever. After 1 month, I like Wessex a lot. Imagine after 2 terms...=D

You may not get your own toilet or bathroom, not enough fridge space..but I'm cool with it. =D
My kitchen mates, they're slightly messy, but apart from that, they're a really nice bunch of people. If I were not staying in Wessex, I wouldn't know any 'kwai lo' friends. I now have 8(excluding Khiara..lols). They drink(which Brit doesn't), but at least they don't smoke. =D

We even have Sims of ourselves..lols. Katiy decided to do a Sim for everyone in kitchen 201. I have purple hair. =D
It's great here. =)

Oh..and the people here think that we don't speak English...LOLS!!!

Matthew asked what my 1st language is. I told him English, and he was a bit shocked. He thought there was a Malaysian language. Then I told him Malay is the national language and stuff...then Vanessa(a new girl who moved in not too long ago) and I had this conversation.

Vanessa: Do you live near here?
Me: *I just stared with a big question mark on my face*
V: Do you live near Reading?
Me: Urm..noooope. I'm from Malaysia. *smile*
V: OMG!! That's so far away! I thought you were a local cause you can speak English so well.
Me: Oh...Thank You. *bigger smile*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I got this compliment from Laura once before.

You know..getting a compliment about your English from an English person, to me, is like Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay or Marco Pierre-White or any other great chef telling you that you can cook like them. =D

Ok..gotta go. =)

Weekend!!!!

WEEE!!!

Weekend is here!! =)
A day when I can wake up late and do nothing...

...

oh..wait..have to do tutorials...haihs...

Got all my books, except 1 statute, so have to start studying.

Haven't been cooking much...will be cooking aglio olio later for dinner. This will only be my third time cooking. This coming from a guy who gave a presentation about food and cooking for legal skills...XD

Cooking, not so convenient. I cannot possibly be going to the supermarket every week to get fresh ingredients, so got quite a few canned and frozen stuff. The 2 fridges are just too small to accommodate 8 people...cause everyone has their own stuff..thus a lot of duplication. But if everyone share stuff like Shaun and Kristine in student village, the fridges will have no space problem. *envy*
Even Shaun has been doing more cooking than I have...LOLS

Oh yeah, Notts Games is on the 31st of October!!! =D
Signed up for badminton. Just thinking about gets me all excited. Can't wait to play badminton and see my old friends who are in the UK!! =D

But have to start removing the rust, if not, no point in me going.
Soooooo.....anybody up for badminton?

Oh..and if anyone has any questions about anything, or if you know any year ones that want to ask questions about UoR, ask me on Facebook..=)

Or you can ask Khiara, Amethyst or Yunrui in December, cause all 3 of them are going back to Malaysia.
Oh and if Justin Michael Liew doesn't read my blog...ask him to stuff himself with chicken rice before he comes...cause I haven't found a a chinese restaurant(plenty of takeaways though) here in Reading..maybe got lar, but it's yet to be discovered. =D

Oh and Mr H is coming next year, anyone know when?

First week of classes.

OM.......G!!!

The walk to lectures....cold as Hell. (XD oxymoron)

The lecturers...boring as Hell. (Land and EU is already hard enough)

The prices of stuff...expensive as Hell. (If you don't convert you'll be fine..=D)

Soo....

WE'RE IN HELL!!

No lar, i'm not in Hell...just wanted to copy Jeff Dunham and Peanut..XD

but...it's seriously getting colder. the lecturers are difficult to understand. and the prices of things are expensive if you convert. =)

All those in Taylors...super lucky.
I miss Taylors. The lectures there are so well planned and organised.

I am sure I'm gonna get responses like "WHAT?!".

I even miss Ms Sunitha! She may have been strict(understatement)...but she is way easier to understand and more direct.

Here they like to give examples..weird examples. Maybe not weird, but different to our ears. AND they tend to move far away from the module during lectures, and then return to the point expecting us to understand what they've just said...=S

Oh yeah, those of you planning to stay at Sherfield or Student Village because you get your own toilet and shower...Good Luck..hehe. ;)

Like this morning. Lectures at Madejski Theatre at 9am. 7 minute walk from Wessex. 40 minute walk from Student Village.
I was about to make myself a Milo at 8.10am, still in pyjamas, Amethyst was already on her way to lectures. Lols! So kesian lar.

I am THE MOST 10 minutes away from every lecture hall, they're AT LEAST 20 minutes away.

Moreover, they have to clean their toilets and shower area. And I heard that Sherfield's drainage system sometimes isn't very good. Leena was saying that Wei Jeat's shower room was flooded one time..and the water wouldn't go away..so the room stank.

My toilet and shower maybe shared..but it's cleaned everyday..=)
And I've never seen anyone in the shower before...it's always dry...=D

One other thing. Shops on Wessex's side have more variety. Perfect Fried Chicken(the chicken is awesome!!). Subway. Domino's. The Three Tuns(it's a pub..quite cheap).

The Sherfield side has Greggs(a nice bakery). Some over priced cafe(ask some of the seniors what they had for their first breakfast..lols) A Posh looking Indian Restaurant.

Kayz...gotta wash up my plate now(just had dinner). =)

Friday, October 2, 2009

Last day of orientation week.

Classes starting next Tuesday. =)
Can't wait to start cause I'm so bored here. It's not like everyone is next door so we can just talk in the kitchen or something...=(
I've been walking for half an hour everyday to Shaun's place...if we were staying nearer to each other..I'll be at his place everyday cooking and eating properly. Like all of them at sherfield or student village got cooking buddies..so nice...

So to all my friends coming next year...stay together alright!! =D

Just came back from the kitchen to eat some fruits for breakfast(didn't feel like drinking Milo or eating anything else). The kitchen was a mess! My dorm mates aren't particular about cleanliness. I've seen them leave their dirty plates all over the place, some pizza slices on the table..BUT...there were those things when I went in...PLUS...glow sticks, glow sticks which have been cut open and all the chemically fluids inside of the sticks are all over the sink. I even saw a pair of high heels and 1 shoe in the kitchen. Wine glasses and shot glasses on the floor, on the tables...

Oh ya, did I mention that my dorm mates who share the kitchen with me are mostly girls!
Maybe they brought some friends over. And they went partying I think, cause they were making quite a lot of noise outside at around 2 am.

Must've been drunk, cause none of them are awake yet, unlike other days when they would be up eating breakfast by 8am.

Apart from everything mentioned above...I'm good. =)

Monday, September 28, 2009

Good morning Reading!

..not all that good lar...cause someone or some group were playing their music so loud. Not sure where it's coming from. =(

It was also quite a warm night..could use a fan...

oh, and I'm 1 of only 2 Asians in Wessex. There's is this other girl, dunno where she is from.

During the Warden's speech, met a few people. And you can start to see groups forming. So, like in Sunday school, those without groups meet up...LOLS!!!

There was this guy, Daniel, he's from London. He is doing Robotics. OoO.
And then there's another one, not sure where he's from though. His name is Dave. He kinda looks like Peter Gade. Wonder if he plays like him...XD

*one last thing...why must the toilet be so far away from my room? =(
have to pass through 5 doors just to reach the nearest one...haihs...
Showers are 3 doors away..LOLS.

If it is like an apartment style, then maybe it won't be so bad..but this is dorm style...it's only been my first day in Wessex, and I'm already envious of everyone else in Sherfield and Student Village...

ahh...to lazy to blog further..
Cya. =)

Sunday, September 13, 2009

2 posts in 1 day..=)

Don't think I've written twice on my blog before..

anyway,

KIMI GOT 3RD!!!

I thought he could win...I guess a 2 stop strategy isn't the right one to use.

A Red car on the podium at Monza...Tifosi's will be happy. =D

Training today...FANTASTIC!!
Played 2 matches. Me and Kean Weng def Gabriel and Benjamin in 3 games. =)
Me and Gabriel def Kean Weng and Benjamin in 2 games. =D

The first match was superb. Haven't had match like that in a long time. WEEE!!
Got my supplies.

All in all...quite a good day. =)

The Final Run In.

1 week to go before I leave for the UK. =)

Not sure whether I'll be able to catch F1 in Reading, so this might be my last race for quite some time. =(
Maybe Kimi can make it 2 wins in a row..=D

...like what Barca did..weeee!!!!

Training:
6 Sept - *no training
13 Sept - check
20 Sept - won't be able to wash my badminton attire in time..so can't go..=(
...
Somewhere in June or July 2010...='(

Will be getting my supplies later from Mike..=)

NOOOOOOO!!!

I had good memories during my UPSR.
It was the most important exam I sat for during my primary school days.
I scored perfectly. ;)

but....

CURSE THE UPSR!!!!!!

I now have only SATU, UNO, ICHI, ONE.......1 training session left!!!!
haihs...so this Sunday I will be free...how about High Tea? =D
Haven't been to one in a long time.

Back to training.
It went well. Yoseph and I defeated Gabriel and Ben in doubles....WEEEE!!!
Mike did the regular smashing training with us....he only thing different this week after the smashing.....
...

HALF COURT SINGLES WITH MIKE!!

Super tough...but the best moment was when Mike returned a shot to half court..I smashed..it hit his neck...LOLS!!

Will be getting my supplies(for badminton) for Reading when I go back for training. =D

Yesterday..FERRARI WON!!!
Nice job Kimi. And Fisi did amazing with his Force India.
Now let Ferrari continue this momentum at Monza in 2 weeks time.

FORZA FERRARI!!

Dinner last night.
PIZZA AND PASTA!

Made calzones and pizzas. Made many pizzas before, never a calzone. Not much of a difference as it is just a folded pizza..=)
The filling for the calzone had onions, spinach, swiss browns and shitakes.
It was not bad, but the filling lacked a bit of a kick...so I tried the leftover calzone, for lunch today, with some Tabasco..problem solved..hehe.

Sunday, August 23, 2009

29 days and counting.

Less than a month before I leave for the UK..=D

Today, went for training. Tried my new racquet!!
IT FELT LIKE I WAS USING AN ANCIENT RACQUET!!
It was heavy. My wrist hurt after I used it for warming up!! Just warming up!! Imagine if I played a game with it...maybe I'm not used to it...

And Mike said I should bring 7-10 strings over to the UK....LOLS!!!
I intended to bring only 3...one for each of my racquets. We'll see...

FORZA FERRARI!!!!

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

*Updates

Went for the Law Ball on Saturday.
It was great! =D
but it was also a bit sad...cause only 10 from my class came..=(

Sunday training as usual.
I feel like I've been playing so much more better since training under Mike.
Kean Weng and I played doubles with 2 new guys. They can hit and stuff..but we beat them, quite easily. =D
I'll gauge myself again tomorrow when I play with Hee Ian. =)

And I asked Mike about whether I should check-in my badminton racquets or carry them on board..he immediately said, "Oh, nonono, must carry. If you check-in, got high possibility that they simply handle it and then it breaks."
And he said if I'm going overseas, I should bring some grips and strings, as it's quite pricey over there, from what he was told by his nephew in the UK. And he told me to get a 3rd racquet...OoO...I can have new racquet? *grins from cheek to cheek*

Distant memories..

(1)
I haven't been doing much lately apart from lazing around my computer and going for training on Sundays.

Been playing Ragnarok Online, on and off. Private server.
It isn't as fun playing on private servers as it was on the official one 6 years ago(yes..my RO addiction started way back in 2003..), as it is much easier to level up, no one really cares to communicate with other players..=(
thus no friends...no parties...

The only time you get to talk to other players is when you are training at the same place for sometime..and the other person is doing the same..
And now with warpas(NPCs which warp you to places)..there isn't the need for travelling anymore..=(

Gone were the days of Xeon, Cardob and Leto.
Gone were the days of travelling Rune Midgard.
Gone were the days of SaintEmpire.

(2)
Michael Schumacher replacing Felipe Massa.
COOOOOLLL!!!!

But but but...what about his defining moment in Brazil 2006? =(
His legacy would be rewritten.
Not too sure it's a good decision..HOWEVER...

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO WATCH HIM RACE AGAIN!!!

Sunday, July 5, 2009

Training!!! =D

Went or badminton training today..=)

Haven't played for 2 weeks, so I was slightly rusty.
My ankle hasn't fully healed, so I wore an ankle guard.

So...after 2 weeks of rest...I'm not fit to play badminton just yet. =(

Cannot run.

But then, to compensate for that...I WAS STRETCHING SO MUCH!!!!
WOOHOOO!!

Stretch forward for shots, stretch sideways for shots. But then it ached slightly every time I stretch for shots.

Played doubles. Me and Kean Weng vs Gabriel and Benjamin. We lost 21-19. Not bad for someone who is handicapped..XD

Then Darrell said winner stay. =(

So I rested.

Next. We played more doubles. Me and Gabriel vs Kean Weng and Benjamin. We won!! 21-17

And then Darrell said winner stay again. =(
Didn't manage to play a second game with them.

So Gabriel and I stayed, Pui Jin and the MSSD girl(donno her name) came on. Walau.
Sebastian and Kean Weng almost lost to the MSSD girl and her MSSD partner. But then due to injury, Kean Weng had to withdraw. That was 2 weeks ago.

Now. I'm injured. Gabriel just came back from UK. Hasn't played in 4 weeks.
The odds were stacked against us. Even Kean Weng was saying, "Quit now la. No need to play."

So 0-0.
1-0
2-0
3-0
4-0
4-1
5-1
6-1
7-1
8-1
9-1
10-1
11-1

WALAU!!! We were leading 11-1!! Kean Weng was saying it was luck..lols.

They brought the fight to us later on in the match.
We were leading 18-16. I was shit scared, but all the shots that i served...were PERFECT! =D

We won 21-19. Phew.

After that game, my leg hurt like hell.

I somehow felt differently after that game. There was once during the game early on. The girl attacked non stop. I think she knew I was the weaker player, so she kept smashing me, and I kept sending them back, even if it was a half court smash!! And then she made a mistake, and Gabriel finished it. =D
She never attacked me after that...hehe.

Hopefully my leg would be fully healed by next week, cause Darrell said he wants to push us. =D

Battlefield Heroes(BFH) is out!

It has finally been released!! Open Beta! =D

I've been waiting for this game's release since Dec 2007.
It's release has been postponed many times. Reason given, to provide a higher quality game for gamers...=D
I'm glad some companies do care about gamers' feelings towards games and not rush them out..like RO2.

Downloaded it 2 days ago. My verdict, quite a big let down after all the trailers, the hype, the reactions from game expos. =(

The creators have mentioned that this game would not need skill to play...NOW I know what they mean. Now sure how to explain if you're not a gamer. Let me put it this way.

If you play L4D or WolfTeam or CS, those games require hell lotta skill. Precise shooting.
BFH takes that away. You can shoot the guy in front of you..and you may not even damage him...wth? It's more of a, "If you don't have skills to play a shooting game, and like cartoons, then play this game" kind of games.

It's entertaining and cute. =)

But if you were to play with the mentality of L4D and the others..you'll be left frustrated. Trust me. Or you can ask Zhang Rei as well..XD

Btw, my relatives from Aussie are in Malaysia. My uncle the chef, some of you may have heard of him, he bought truffles!! Never seen one before..and it didn't look like the ones on TV which cost hundreds of bucks...hehe.
and it smells like cheese..wonder why.

Doesn't it fall under the category?

I followed my mum to Giant today. Haven't been there for some time, and there are shop lots opposite Giant. I remembered it as a construction site. =P

Cilantro.

This was a culinary school opposite Giant!! Cool!!
Drove towards the shop lots to 'pat kua'. Saw a few students walking out..Taylor's culinary arts' uniform is way nicer.

So I decided to do some 'research' about the place.
Checked out the courses that they offered.

One thing caught my eye.
Diploma.
They teach various kinds of cuisine. "Western and Pasta" was one of them.

???HUH???

Pasta is Italian. Doesn't it come under Western?
And there are English classes to improve the proficiency of their students' English.
ok. weird.

*looks at his "Best Chef Award" from Shermaine and Kevin. =)
*recalls stuff from so so so many cooking shows and questions from some of his friends. =S

I ain't a chef...I know so very little. I wish, one day I could use Marco Pierre White's statement, when asked why he dropped his Michelin stars. He had this to say, "I was being judged by people who know less than me."

Awesome.

The pain is unbearable!! TT

My leg is in PAIN!!!

Here's the story on how it happened...

Went for badminton training, like I always do every Sunday.

I started warming up with Yoseph. It was fun driving shots at each other instead of the usual lobbing that others do.

After that, Daryl wanted us to train our backhand...LOB!!
Everyone wasn't particularly excellent at it...apart from the occasional moments where everyone hit it really nicely..had a few moments my self...=D

After that, we did 5 sets of footwork...*I hate this*

Then we were free..=)

So I rested while others were busy playing singles and doubles.

After most had left, Benjamin had asked me to hit some shots with him. So I went.

Benjamin is always working on his smashes..but after a while..he got tired, so he wanted to defend instead...so I smashed..=)

It went AMAZINGLY WELL!!! The best feeling I've had while playing badminton for over a month!!(I've played really shitty badminton every since my brother came back from Singapore)

So, once I got into a rhythm, I kept on smashing...and then...
on one smash..I jumped slightly(like always) and smashed...and then it hurt.

I landed on the outer side of my left foot and rolled on the ground in pain. The Benjamin called Daryl to come over to check.

Daryl and Man Chun got me up to my feet and seated me at a nearby chair. Then my brother and Benjamin brought their leftover ice(from a packet of 100PLUS), that Ben had bought, to place over my ankle. It wasn't so painful after a while.

And I drove home. Everyone there was concerned as to whether i could drive...no problem..=)

Reached home..it got more painful.

Went for dinner..it got even more painful.

Came back..IT HURT LIKE HELL!!

After watching F1(no Ferrari on the podium...haihs)..I couldn't even stand up.

I had to crawl up the staircase!!!
My parents were laughing all the way up...what wonderful parents I have...=)

At least I could reach my comp..=)

Now..it isn't so painful. Took Celebrex and Panadol. Hopefully can sleep well.

DOMINIC IS BACK!!

Eujin is gonna leave soon(next Monday to be exact), so only this week to hang out.
Intend to go out this Thursday, and hopefully catch Transformers..=D

Okie...gtg now.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

More work needed.

Based on my current form...no way on earth can I do well at Nottingham..=(

So inconsistent.

Unable to focus.

Damn low stamina.

I still have about 4 more months to train...hopefully it's enough. =)
I seem to only up my game when Hock Chin is playing as well...=D
Cause I wanna beat him everytime...hehe..XD

F1 gonna start soon...gotta go..=)

The after that, I'm gonna play L4D with my cousin and bro..=D

FREEDOM!!!!!

Went to Taylors' library to study at around 11.30am.
Met Ikram, Elisa, Shermaine and Sara there.

They were scaring me...well more because of Sara, cause she would say stuff about Criminal law out loud...everytime she said something..I would check it out as well...LOLS.

Then at about 1pm, we left for c18. Elisa was so stressed out.

So Ikram, Sara and Shermaine cheered her up by singing songs and stuff...lols!!

The best was probably Ikram and Shermaine singing Glamorous by Fergie!!
Ikram had that chinese accent...DAMN FUNNY!!!!

Move aside Wil.i.am....Ik.r.am is in the house!!! XD

Then everyone stress again when everyone else arrived. =(

Went in at 1.45pm.

I saw the questions, and I was like...luckily I was listening to Ikram and Sara discuss Theft and Fraud...=)

Hopefully correct la...but should be ok..=D

I liked the essay question on omission..=)

Had 5 minutes to spare...=D
Justin Liew had about 15 minutes. Saw him putting his hand behind his head...like so relax...

Overall....the exams ended nicely..=)

Supposed to sing "We Are the Champions" right?
Everyone to excited to leave the hall...lols!!

After exam...everyone was quite happy..=)
When I was leaving the C18, I saw Sara talking Mr Lai.

When I passed them, I greeted Mr Lai.

Then he was pumping his fist in the air and he said something..didn't get it at first.
Then I realised he said "Barcelona"....LOLS!!!!
So funny..=)
But yeah!!! Barca is going to win!!!!!

YAY!!! Playing badminton tomorrow!!!!

After that, go present hunting for a second time! =) Didn't find anything suitable at Subang Parade when I went with my mom on Friday.

Now....i'm going to take my PS2 out and play...=D

HAPPY HOLIDAYS PEOPLE!!!!!!
CYA TOMORROW AT TGIF!!!

Double Trouble...=(

Ferrari scored points in Spain, but could've done so much more.

Kimi was up to 10th place from 16th...and then he suffered a mechanical problem...haihs.

Massa was up to 3rd, but Webber's pit strategy was better, so that put him into 3rd place. So Massa was 4th. A good weekend for Ferrari (considering the circumstances),

BUT...

HE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH FUEL!!!!

Had to let Vettel and Alonso pass him. Finished 6th...=(
Didn't even have enough fuel to reach the pits after the chequered flag...I mean...

What is going on here?! Can't Ferrari calculate anymore? Just please stop switching personnel here and there. It'll probably work better if they were switched back!!

It's so disappointing watching one mistake during qualifying...now I (and other Ferrari fans) had to endure TWO below par performances!!

The car was quick!! That was the worst part!!

Not the drivers' fault.

Next up..Monaco!!

Hopefully Ferrari will bounce back. They have to.

...

Barca has a chance to wrap up the title tonight!! =D

And hopefully Henry will be fit in time for Rome.

Dilemma

...WHY IS FERRARI HAVING SO MUCH OF PROBLEM!!

Qualifying at Circuit de Catalunya...why!!

I'm waiting for the Formula 1 website to post feedback from the drivers and teams. I hope they will say that this incident was because of a mechanical problem and not because they were laid back and thought that Raikkonen's time was good enough in Q1!!

BUT

I also hope it's not a mechanical problem on Raikkonen's car...ARGH!!
*prays everything will work out well for Ferrari tomorrow*

*updated
It was another stupid mistake made by Ferrari. Come on..what's wrong with the management?! Don't you learn from mistakes? It was just 2 races ago that this happened to Massa...ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so frustrating when this happens...and the car is quick!!!

Another problem...

Year 2 subjects.

Human Rights? or International Law? or EU Law?

I'm quite interested about HR. But should I do that first, or do EU first?
If I do EU in year 2, I'll be doing it with the year 2s now (that's what Shaun told me) and most probably Khiara.

Or should I do it in year 3, when my classmates will be there, doing it as well..=D?

Decide it myself? or should I let a coin do that for me..XD

Let me get over my exams first...=)

Thursday, May 7, 2009

1-1!!

We won on away goals..=)

Now...We're going to Rome and we're going to conquer it!!
Well not now la..May 27..=)

Nothing else to post

Cyaz! =)

*Edited

To all my classmates, have you all read your email about choosing your subjects next year?
It has to be done by the 29th of May.

I went on to RISIS, but I have no idea how to do it, and my Internet so slow...couldn't view the whole page...=(
Probably have to use the comps at Taylors..*curse the Internet*

Not sure which to choose, International HR Law or International Law. Probably do EU in my third year...=)

And to Khiara, Winston and Amethyst...which subjects will you be taking? I don't want to be the only one...XD.

Barcelona bull dozed Real!!

The score...

...

6-2!!!!!

Even Puyol and Pique had their names on the score sheet!!

The title is as good as ours..=D

Next stop...Stamford Bridge!!

Oh btw
There is another article in the NST today about our trip to Vietnam, but it isn't much. It was more about mooting and how Taylors students start mooting from yr 1...lols!
Ms Rajes and Mr Raphael got air time..=)

Mr Lai's name was also mentioned. =)

The picture of the article...LOUSY LIKE SHIT!!
Everyone looks retarded!! My eyes look like they're crossed!!
Lousy cameraman!!

Barca will win the 2nd leg!!!

Chelsea just got lucky when they held Barca to a draw..

We'll win at Stamford Bridge!!

Today, I went to Taylor's for criminal. Then almost the whole class went for breakfast after that, then most of us headed to the library to get some work done.

My Epar wouldn't open at home, so i had to use the computers at the library. I'll have to go back tomorrow if my stupid internet at home can't open my Epar.

One more thing, yesterday I went for badminton with Hee Ian, Hock Chin and Wyhow..=)
We played from 9-11 at Jaya.

IT WAS AWESOME!!

Now if only I can play like that (minus the mistakes I made) consistently...XD

But it was still the same, anyone who partnered Hee Ian would win...lols!
Hock Chin was determined to beat Hee Ian, so we played. Me-Hock Chin vs Hee Ian-Wyhow.
*this was our 3rd game with the same partners. We lost the 2 games earlier.

It was like a cat and mouse game, cause no one would have a big gap from the other. Nice rallies..=D
But in the end, Hee Ian (with his +50 luck...XD) won. They pulled away and won 21-16...haihs..

It's been a long time since I've played with them...started since F4/5 I think.

Good days..=)

Now,.......IT'S EVEN BETTER!!!
Everyone has gotten so much stronger! No more one-sided affair. Very intense..=)
Let's do this again some other time..=D

It's gonna rain damn heavily very very soon..so ciaoz!..=D

Sunday, April 26, 2009

New Straits Times

To all those who went to Vietnam...some of us are in the newspaper!! XD

Those in the papers are; Me, Nick's back, Neptune, Mo, Elisa's back(I think) and Cass's back...lols!!

It is at the orphanage, doing our 'Favourite' job...XD

*Btw, Erik,
CDM has some talk today about priesthood.

ROFL! Father Erik (what's your confirmation name ar?)

FORZA FERRARI!!!

I'm gonna keep saying this until they go back to their winning ways..=D

Oh, and I hope Sevilla will beat Madrid..=)

Sunday, April 19, 2009

No mood...

Ferrari didn't score again!!

Both drivers were experiencing lack of power, at least Raikkonen's car could keep on moving. Massa wasn't so lucky...=(

Why are the races so near each other? Bahrain is this weekend!
Not much time to work on the car to improve it..but...

FORZA FERRARI!!

Keep on trying!!

Got my racquet back from Daryl today. Didn't feel right.

The strings kept moving. Daryl told me that Mike always put wax on the strings so that the friction won't be so great.

But because of this, after every 4-5 hits, there would be a 'lubang' in my racket...=(
How to play long rallies? =(

And I didn't play much badminton after training, cause while training, I was constantly clearing at the net. The muscles in my arm became tense. Daryl said because I was using my wrist too much.

After training, I just sat down watching others play doubles. Not very fun.

Congratz to Gabriel on pushing Daryl in singles...=D
Gab lost the first game 21-17!! And Daryl was serious...he even tied his shoe laces!! He only does that when he is serious...=)
But then in the 2nd game, Gab ran out of stamina. Daryl won 21-6.

Cyaz!!

Shanghai GP

...and Ferrari are still struggling for pace...=(

Hopefully they will have a good race tomorrow to get back into the championship.

FORZA FERRARI!!!

*I'm getting my other racket back from Daryl tomorrow...=D

Barca are in the semis!!!

Chelsea is in deep trouble...
They're gonna face the best team in the world....=D

MU are also in deep trouble...
Porto are gonna cream them!!

Anyways,

Yesterday went for the talk about the visa thingy at LT2.

After that, Mr Lai's presentation about some of the accommodations at Reading at LT3.
Only 6 people came or the talk. None of the year 2s came, cause their deadline for submitting their accommodation choices just passed.

But the presentation was quite nice with all the pictures..=)

Sherfield didn't look very nice. Wessex looks amazing! =)
I'm now happy with my choice..=D

Thanks sir.

Went for classes today. After that, Ikram and I waited for the Jan intake's moot to start.

2 judges were supposed to sit in for the moot, but 1 had to leave cause his case was called to be heared in court in the afternoon.

But Ms Thaatch(not sure how to spell her name) sat in as the 2nd judge.

Guess who was the other judge? =)

...

...

...

It was the 'Yellow shirt' judge!! (He's here again)
Or some might call him the 'samurai judge'...XD

He gave the senior appellant a hard time..and you could see all the Jan intake students all freaking out...LOL!!

When the senior appellant finished, he gave the junior appellant a hard time as well.

Ms Thaatch wasn't required...=)

After that we left..=)

Oh i forgot, at the guardhouse today, Krispy Kreme were giving out free doughnuts!!
It was nice, but the world didn't stop for me....XD

At then there was this promotion about Ruumz. Some sort of Facebook thingy, but the girl was saying it was better...lols
I haven't checked it out yet...too lazy. =P

Do they stand a chance?

3 masterminds.

1 isn't involve in the design anymore.
1 has left all posts in the management.
1 has bought over a team.

Ferrari's 2009 season looks like a downhill fall.

Rory Byrne, Jean Todt and Ross Brawn,
Along with Micheal Schumacher, formed the most formidable team.

Tough act to follow with their departure.

Stefano Domenicalli had better get the team back to it's winning ways.

Apart from that...
badminton anyone?

Sunday, March 29, 2009

WHY!!!

The strings of one of my racquets broke today.

During the first minute of warming up...zzz

Training today...kept playing doubles.
Yoseph got 'promoted'. Me and him against Gabriel and Benjamin Lim.
We lost 21-17, 18-21, 21-18...haihs...

Played one final game, cause I tak puas. Loser had to do 30 push ups.
We won 21-19...=)

Came home, watched the recording for F1.

Ever since Japan 2006, Ferrari's reliability has never been the same...=(

Hamilton lucky la...Mclaren probably influenced the authorities to penalise Trulli.

Saturday, March 28, 2009

Formula 1 season begins...

..and it looks tough for Ferarri.

Qualifying

Massa is 7th
Kimi is 9th

The Mclarens are far away...=)

Brawn GP...hmm...are they really that fast?

Study Trip - Vietnam

Hi everyone, I will be away for a study trip to Vietnam.

Will be leaving tomorrow at 5.45pm.

We will be fetching my brother from KLIA at about 2pm. Then I'll be going to the LCCT at about 3-3.45pm.
He will be back for a week. =)
Can play L4D with him and my cousin...YAY!!! Too bad my sis is in Tasmania...=(

Since my mum 'balik kampung', we've only washed our clothes once this whole week...XD
I don't think my mother will be coming back so soon, cause my grandmother isn't well.

I pray that she can get better. I pray for a miracle.

Need to finish up my criminal assessed work..then pack my bags.

Cya guys on Wednesday.

Training

I hate it when there are so many people during training...hardly played after training was over. =(

Managed only one doubles...if it can be called a doubles match...I won that one la...but no fun.

"MARI MARI!! AJAK ME PLAY BADMINTON AFTER THE 17TH OF MARCH!!!"

I wanna play!!!

The only good thing from today's training was that, my physical condition has improved...=)

3 rounds around the field.

30 push-ups.

50 sit-ups

80 scissors jump.

WOOT!!!

But couldn't play for about one hour after that. No strength in my hand or legs...XD

* one assignment down...2 more to go!!!

Friday, March 6, 2009

Long weekend!!!

Yay!! Monday is a holiday!!!

But got extra work to do last minute...=(

Mr Joseph gave us an additional exercise to do that must be handed in by the 13th of March...haihs...

I'm gonna get new shoes soon, as my current pair is gonna crack into half on the bottom side.
=)
And I have also bought a shirt and a pair of trousers for my aunt's wedding...=)
*the bill is going to her...LOLS! XD

Btw, do you guys know about the Ferrari toy car when you purchase Shell petrol?
I have one of them...=)
But not the black or the silver one...dammit..had to settle for one of the red ones.
It's actually kinda cool...=D
Can't wait to get the black AND the silver one...hehe.

One last thing,

My father has booked my flight to London already....WEEE!!!
MAS had some kind of offer going on around that time..=)
RM 1420 one-way. Leaving on the 21st of September!!!

Can't wait to go to London, so many things to do!!!
I must start writing my 'To-Do" list before I leave....XD

I probably have to change my post title...most of the things I've mentioned involve money...HAHAS!!!

Work + Work - time = Law!!

I have 3 assignments to hand in, 3 tutorials to complete...all in 2 weeks!!

Well, my criminal assessed work was supposed to be handed in at a later date, but because of my Vietnam study trip...I have to complete it before I leave if not I won't have enough time...=(

*ARGH!!*

Damn stressed-out!!!

To top it off, "that cold-hearted woman" divided a topic amongst the 'class', but only about 8 of us were chosen to do the work!!...and I was one of the 'chosen one'...CURSE YOU!!!

We need to read up on cases and present it to the class on PowerPoint. Additional work in my already limited time!!!
And "she" asked me to find this journal and print it out...guess what, it can't be found on either LexisNexis or Westlaw!!!

What the hell is this man...is "she" trying to kill me?!

No life for the next 2 weeks. Well, haven't had much of a life since I started law.

I could use a breather right about now...and I made the wrong decision to go to Vietnam.

*needs HELP!!!!

Whose stupid idea was it to study law!!!

DEFINITELY NOT MINE!!!!

I so envy Harris right now...

I've come to a conclusion..."she" has no heart! =)
If you don't know who "she" is, then you will live a long and HAPPY life.

Some random stuff..

Went to Cabana with my classmates on Friday. Ate "belacan fried rice".

IT WAS SUPER SPICY!!!

Nick and Elisa couldn't tahan it as well...lols.

Yesterday, went to Sakae Sushi for dinner with my parents. The last time we went there, I didn't get to use the 'computer'. Now my bro and my sis has left for Singapore and Tasmania respectively, so i got to use it last night...=)

LOLS! XD

Today, went for training. 17 people in total came for training!!!

Daryl had a lot of work to do today...=P

My ankle feels weird, I wonder if I injured it...

Vietnam study trip briefing

Yesterday the briefing on this trip was at TBS.

TBS seems to be nicer than the main campus...=)

Vietnamese currency is the Dong

My mom was finding the Dong that my father had with him.
My father has a lot of different currencies.

Anyways, my father has in total 183600 Dong!!

...

...

...

...

It amounts to only RM38.468!!!

LOLOLOLOL!!!

I'm bringing my Dong to class on Monday...=P

The moot...

One word....BAD.

I'm not gonna post about the moot here, cause I'm too lazy right now to do it. =P

I'm just glad that it is over, and I don't want to do mooting ever again in my life! =D

Good luck to everyone who have yet to moot!!

Community Service..=)

No...I wasn't charged by the courts to do this....

The Law school has a Community Service club, and most of us are taking turns to visit this home called Trinity Home(I think). A home or orphanages.
We're gonna raise funds for the home to build them a mini library. =)

This is the first week we're visiting them. My group consisted of Maureen, Cassandra, Sanjeve, Sara, Fay/Fei/Fey(I dunno how to spell her name) and myself.
Fay is from the Jan intake of the law school.

Sanjeve picked Sara up, then he picked me up at about 9.20am. None of my friends have ever found it easy to find my place...=P

We met up with Cassandra and Maureen at one of the photocopy centres in front of Taylors. When Fay came, then we left for the home.

Maureen had directions to the place on a piece of paper, and she gave it to Sanjeve. We went in 2 cars, Sanjeve and Cassandra were driving. Cassandra followed Sanjeve's car. The directions were quite simple to follow, and we reached there in no time.

There were about 15 kids there. Most of them are quite young. There are about 5 kids in secondary school.

The kids were all so cute, especially "Super Star"...=D

We are gonna raise funds by selling cookies and sweets(and cards I think) for Valentines Day.
Sara baked the cookies and brought them to the home to be decorated with sprinkles. The cookies were great!

The sweets were bought by Leena and were packed by the kids.

After we were done, we played some games with them. Then some of the kids(well the older ones) played football with Sanjeve, Cassandra and Fay.

Sara and myself were playing with the rest of the kids, indoors. Sara played carom, while I was playing Uno Stacko(don't know what the real name of the game is). The kids playing this had their own rules...=)
You can hold the stack while pulling the tiles out! It was very funny the way they were doing it...=)

After a while, those playing football came in to play carom and the stacking game(I'll refer this game by this name...=D).

"Super Star" kept building all kinds of stuff with the blocks from the stacking game. He even built a church!!!
Sanjeve took a picture, I'll try to get it from him.

The structure was amazing!!

It was about 12.30pm, and we decided to leave.

When we left, Maureen wanted to go to Mydin to see if there are ribbons for sale there. Sara needed to go home, and Sanjeve needed to take a bath after football.

Cassandra took Maureen and Fay to Mydin, while Sanjeve sent Sara back home and then I went to Sanjeve's house cause he needed a shower.

After that, we met up with Cassandra, Maureen and Fay for lunch at AC.

After lunch, then Sanjeve sent me home. Fay also stays in SS14 and she offered to send me home, but Sanjeve sent me home cause I left my bag in his car.

And now, I'm kinda tired, but I have to read up on the cases for the stupid moot this coming Thursday...haiz...

"NO, I CANNOT!"

This put the next hour or so into almost chaos!!

Today started of o...k. My parents left for Singapore early this morning to sort some stuff for my brother...leaving me and my sis with my grandparents. Well, that's not the story...=P

I had to wake up early to leave as I was driving to college on my own, for the first time I think, to get a parking lot near the SS14 bridge.

Fast forward to contract class.

"she" decided to start by recapping what we studied yesterday about fundamental breach. The first person that she shot at was Nicholas(he was sitting next to me). Then the next question was thrown at me...luckily I wrote down what the case was about in my module handbook..*escape*. =P
Any contract class is like 10 days of stress. *Feel free to comment me on this...=)

I think most people left the class with their spirits low...or in Nicholas' case, 'a fundamental breach' to his brain....XD

We went for lunch after class, but Ikram, Shermaine and Deborah had to go for a meeting with Mr Harmahinder.

So I went with Elisa, Nicholas, Justin Liew, Sanjeve and Cassandra to AC. When Nick, Justin and Sanjeve were about to leave for Criminal, Ikram, Shermaine and Deborah arrived...=)
They had their lunch and we had no idea what to do for 2 hours.

Legal Skills was at 2pm.

Shermaine and Elisa went back to college to discuss their moot question. The 4 of us left went to the ECA to play foosball. RM2 for 10 balls. It was fun, but everyone was going for glory and it ended rather abruptly...lols

Lets play again some other time...I'll bring the 50cent coins....=D

After that we played a round of pingpong...if you can even call that pingpong. After the 3rd hit, every ball would fly out...LOL.

Then it was 2pm, and we left for legal skills class, which was actually Mr Lai giving a briefing on what to do for the moot...especially for all those starting next week(me included...*curse*).

The amount of work required to do, after listening to Mr Lai talk, is a hell lot!!

Oh, and for this moot, he said that we could ask our lecturers about the respective moot topic for help or advise. So we(myself, Justin, Nicol and Evelyn) saw "her" and this is what happened.

Justin Liew: Urm, miss. Can you help us with our moot question?
"her": No, I cannot.

*walks further away

"her": Yours is contract is it?
Us: Yeah.

*sarcastic smile

This all happened outside of the class that we just had our briefing.

We told Mr Lai about it...*another smile from a lecturer*

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!

We decided to see Ms Usha about our moot problem after 2 lecturers did not seem interested to offer help or even advise.
Ms Usha was our former Tort lecturer, and one of the most approachable and student-friendly lecturers we had.

She helped us out by guiding us what to do. I really appreciate her helping us out...=D

Thank You Ms Usha!!!!!

After we left her office, I met Ms Sujata, my A-levels Business Studies lecturer. We talked a bit about some stuff, and then we gossiped....lols!!
After the gossip, she was a bit worried about some stuff. I apologise if I worried her about her son's prospect of studying law at a place that I know very well...

Then she left for her office, and I met Deborah and Shermaine outside the Pre-U Office. We gossiped some more...=D

After that we left our separate ways.

On the way home I bought The Star and a can of A&W Rootbeer...nice.

Didn't have much time to read it as all of a sudden when I got home. The phone rang, Poslaju guy came after i just hung up, needed to find shampoo for my grandmother, phone rang again, took a shower, another phone rang, blogging(paused for a while), ran downstairs to call someone for my grandfather, continued blogging, phone rang.
*all the phone calls were different people

Dinner will be at my uncle's house, but my sister wants to try out the new Japanese Restaurant. My mom said we could do so. XD

So I think I deserve a break...
Don't you think so? =D

*ps.
I for got to add that the bundle of authorities which can be hundreds of pages long, the cost of printing and binding 5 copies of it has to be paid for ourselves!!
And this mooting is compulsory work!!
Cheapskates!!

Back from Kuching

Hello people, i'm back home in Subang.

Just arrived about 2 hours ago. =)

How were your CNY holidays?
Mine was ok...kinda quiet cause not many relatives 'balik kampung'.

Played a bit of Left4Dead in Kuching, some card games...the usual...=P

Only had internet connection when we went to my cousin's house...=)

I'll only be going back to Kuching in 2013...4 years time.
Why?

I'll be celebrating CNY in Reading...lols!!

This trip to Kuching was quite nice, especially the food...and this coming from me...sounds weird.
Cause, since I was young, I've never liked the food in Kuching...dunno why my taste changed.

Ate a lot of junk food as well...=P

*edit
Oh ya, Kuching has a new shopping centre called The Spring.
It's quite nice, has the essential shops like MPH, toyshop, Speedy, Manhattan Fish Market, Kenny Rogers and Starbucks(which means WiFi....XD)

But I think The Spring is rather small compared to the shopping centres here...=)

Anyways,

ENJOY THE REMAINING HOLIDAYS!!!

*My bro is leaving for Singapore tomorrow, less one 'kaki' to play badminton ledi.

We will be facing-off Nicol and Evelyn.

Topic, on consideration and promissory estoppel...damn...

Case: Greedbank v Poorstudent

My moot is the first one on the 12th of February.

Got CNY holidays to prepare, but got no internet...haiz.

The last few days of the CNY break is gonna be used to read all the cases relevant...=(

That's all from me now...=)

This is the menu.

Fried whole chicken with crackers

Steamed cod fish

Braised abalone with mushroom

Scallops and prawns in superior stock

This was under RM150!!

I enjoyed the dinner till the last bite. =D

*Oh, btw America has an African-American President. =)

Gathering?

A few days ago, Erik called me and said,

Erik: Hi Justin. Are you free on Friday?

Justin: I think so. Why? What's the occasion?

Erik: Well, it depends. If there are more QMs then it is a QM gathering. If there are more librarians, then it's a librarian gathering. If it is just the few of us, then it is an early CNY gathering.

Justin: LOLS!! Ok. =)

Met up today at Hartz Chicken at Sunway Pyramid. Their food is really declining in terms of quality and choice.
7 of us met up for this gathering. Me, Hee Ian, Basil Erik, Shu Ning, Hui Yen and Kimberly. Chong Yong couldn't make it.

Anyways, we sat, ate and talked until about 9.10pm. The we decided that if we could catch 'Yes Man' around this time, then we maybe be able to watch it. Shu Ning went to the nearby music shop to get a pick and some strings for her guitar, then we went to the cinema.

Went up to the cinema to check the times. Yes Man started at 9.20. We reached there at about 9.25.

We quickly devised a plan to ask a couple near the front whether they could help us buy the tickets. They said yes. While doing that, I called my parents to get their "Ok". =)
Got it.

It was 9.30 by the time we got our tickets, so we hurried in. There were a lot of people watching the show.

The show was quite funny in some parts, but kinda lame in others.

The show ended at about 10.55pm, and we left the cinema and then only did we start paying  Shu Ning for the tickets(she paid for the tickets first). Watch first, pay later. XD

As we were leaving the shopping mall on our way up the escalator, the girls were walking quite fast, so 4 people got on the escalator in between us and the girls. The girls turned behind to say something to us, but saw familiar faces.

It was Hee Ian's cousin and her boyfriend, and Pei Yi( i think that was her) and her boyfriend.
I said 'I think it was' Pei Yi because she looked very much different.
*Any 5 Beta-ians reading this post, don't criticise me about me not recognising an ex-classmate.

We just exchanged smiles like normal people do, but didn't say 'hi'.
Maybe she 'thinks it was me'. Do I look different from the days in 4/5 Beta? =P

Anyways, then we went home.

Thanks Hee Ian for sending me back.

And now I'm done with my post.

Like I've been telling some people today,

"I'm gonna sleep till I can't wake up"

That's how much of rest I need from going through such a stressful week.

Cya when I cya!
