Nottingham University Games 2009

Started the day by waking up at 2am. It wasn't very cold outside, surprisingly, so early in the morning.

Clarence and I were the first to arrive at the bus. It was a double decker bus...OoO.
But, the seats were a bit tight...

Bus left at around 4am.
The journey was tiring...and uncomfortable.

We stopped by a rest area on the way there. Others left the bus to get breakfast..I just slept on..=)

Reached Nottingham University at around 7.30-ish.

Waited for the Minister of Youth and Sports to arrive...M'sian timing..late as usual.
Went into the hall..and it was like back in school. PERHIMPUNAN. =S

Got prayers, Negaraku, stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down...grrr...

Oh oh..and someones English was not very good...XD

After that, Shaun and all went to the Malaysian Food Festival. It was quite far away and I didn't know what time my game was so I didn't follow them. Nottingham Uni has it's own bus system. OoO...

I played doubles with Ngai Chun. Our match was at 11.45am. Priscilla played singles. Zhun Kit and Wei Jeat played pool and Aizad, Ngai Chun, Cletus, Shang and others played basketball and Clarence played scrabble.

No medals for Reading this year..=(

In doubles...we got thrashed...big time. 21-7 or 21-8, can't quite remember. =(
We lost to Cardiff. The 2 guys were like in their late 30s or something...

Oh..and we had to supply our own shuttlecock to play...zzz...and the shuttlecock we used belonged to the other 2...super light weh...all our shots kept going out and all their shots were on line....haihs...before we could even get our footing into the game..they had already won...

Waste of time. I didn't even get to eat any Malaysian food because of it...=(
Everyone got back from the food festival and we all went to watch Aizad and gang play basketball. After that we decided to go to town.

We got off a stop right in the middle of town. Not the kind of shopping the others were looking for...LOLS!!

So after walking around town..we headed to the castle. On the way to the castle, we saw the Robin Hood museum closed. Shaun told me that Marina told him(XD) that it was closed for good cause they couldn't pay their rent or something..lol..and it was owned by Tesco..

We didn't have to pay for entering..nicee...

BUT, there was a catch...

The castle was closed. =/
So we could only explore the castle grounds and the weird museum(i say it's weird cause there were a lot of other stuff in the museum like some weird art and some world war uniforms..

The castle grounds were beautiful though..=D
Scenery was fantastic..and there was even a couple taking their wedding pictures there.

After that..went to Yates for dinner. There's a Yates in Reading as well...and the one in Reading is a lot cheaper...and the portions are a lot bigger. Most of them took the BBQ chicken melt..it looked kinda pathetic..and Dinesh's fish pie was something like 3/4 full..compared to the one in Reading where it's filled right to the brim of the dish.

I had the bacon and cheese burger...can't go wrong with that..=)
Buns don't change in size..hehe..XD

Left town for the Uni. Left the Uni at around 8pm. Got back at around 11.30pm.
Went on Facebook for a while..then slept still 10..=D

*Would I play in Nottingham again? maybe...NOT. but..there were a lot of lousy players there..we just weren't lucky with our draw..=P
*Would I go back to Nottingham next year? I wouldn't want to..i dread the journey..but if Ikram they all are going..I may just follow them..=)

I'm the sort of hombre who enjoys to try bran-new things. Right now I'm constructing my personal photovoltaic panels. I am managing it all by myself without the help of my men. I'm utilizing the internet as the only path to acheive that. I discovered a truly amazing website that explains how to make solar panels and so on. The website explains all the steps needed for solar panel building.

I am not really sure bout how correct the information given there iz. If some experts over here who have experience with these works can have a look and give your feedback in the page it will be awesome and I'd extremely appreciate it, cause I really enjoy solar panel construction.

Thanks for reading this. You people rock.
