INTERNET!!!

Lolx!!

I'm back from my CNY trip to Ipoh this year, hope all of you had a great time as well. It was ok-ok la, but the food could have been better. Out of all my meals, the best was supper!!! =)
The second night we were there, we went to Restoran Tuck Kee, don't know if any of you guys have been there, but the Wat Tan Hor is damn nice...and they didn't "slaughter" people with the prices, how nice of them . =) lolx.

The other supper was from "the best burger stall in Ipoh". ( I don't know how true), but their cow burger was damn nice weh. LOLX. You all must be taking a second or two to process through your mind what cow burger is...that's how long it took me when my cousin came in with a plastic bag and said "try the cow burger, its very nice". lolx.

There wasn't any internet connection at my grandfather's house, so we had to find other ways of entertaining ourselves. MAHJONG and CHOR DAI DI!!! No money lar...I'm not a Gambling Ghost (tou kuai). =)
Learned how to count points this time round, but still slightly confused. Also, we watched some movies on my sister's laptop, like Resident Evil ( I very behind time ), Evan Almighty and AVP2.

Oh yeah, received quite a bit of ang pau this year. ^_^

Urmm, nothing else to talk about, college starting on Monday ( so sad).

Brotherly rivalry...

...AND I LOST!!!!

*sits in a corner*

Haiz..., my slump in form continues.

I need to score a win, or at least give a damn good fight, against a few people on Tuesday, if not, I'll need start from scratch AGAIN, by motivating myself.

In every game, there is a winner and a loser, I can't always be in the second group...right?

Tomorrow I will get to drive..weee!! BUT, the instructor is fetching me at 7.45 am, zzz. So early.

Happy Holidays!!

Weee!! Got a one week break from college, STARTING TODAY!!

Happy Holidays and a very Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!!
I can't wait to go to Ipoh. I will be leaving on Tuesday.

*Imagines playing mahjong, blackjack, Chor Dai Di, eating all kinds of foods at the coffee shops*
Sigh...can't wait. =)

Wish everyone a safe journey to where ever you guys are going.

The holidays may have just started, but I got off on the wrong foot. =(

Badminton today (whaddya think I was going to write about...lols) was a real bummer. Nothing went right. Everything kept going into the net, or out of court. I even missed two consecutive shots, my timing was off. So sad.

Throughout the whole 2 hours, I wasn't exhausted at all. Training on Sundays are more tiring, but today, after the 1st hour, I just lost my motivation to play, or even move. I was so pumped up to play today, to start the holidays with a nice game, but all was in vain.

It may have been one of my lousiest day (the lousiest being the time I lost to Erik 21-13), but it wasn't a waste of time. Just thinking back on the games I played, I can already see so many mistakes that I could have avoided.

I just hope my playing gets better on Sunday and Tuesday, if not, it will be such a lousy start to the CNY celebrations.

What a Day!!

Whoa!! It has been a good day of badminton for me and for the rest of the world (except China).

Today's training was different from normal days. Different meaning, TOUGHER!! I won't go into details about the training, but I will about the games I played.

After training, I could feel my lungs burning, and every breath I took, my dry throat was killing me. It took me about 15 minutes 2 get back to normal again. After that, I only played a total of 2 games ( not much compared with other days).

The first was Daryl and I against Ginasen-Gabriel (they are going for MSSD). I learned a lot about playing doubles in just 15 minutes from Daryl. Hehe...not gonna share any tips with you guys. Maybe its just me, but when ever I play with anyone that is much much superior than I am, I always up my game.

I retrieved many smashes from Ginasen, and there were 2 highlights for me in the game. One was which I took a shot from my deep-backhand, and put it right over the net. 1 point for us. =)

The next was when Ginasen cleared a smash from Daryl and it was my shot to take. I placed myself behind the shuttle, and smashed so hard, Ginasen couldn't retrieve. WOOT!! I couldn't believe I did that. This was only my second smash that was powerful enough (also got sound) that strong players couldn't take. What a shot it was. =)

We lost 21-19, but that was a damn fun game. The next was with my brother against another pair, which we have beaten before. But, we lost this time round 22-20. We tried a different style of play (the proper one according to Daryl). It was close, but we would've won if we were much more familiar with this style. All in all a good day for me. =)

Also, in the Korea Open, China only managed to secure 2 gold medals out of 4 they could have gotten. The best match was between Lee Hyun-Il and Lin Dan. If any of you didn't see the match, you must find a replay. It was so dramatic!! There were so many officials on court during match point for Lin Dan when a line-call was called in, and the umpire didn't overrule it. All of them were holding back the coaches and Lin Dan. Woot!! Never seen such a dramatic match before. In the end, the match went to Lee Hyun-Il.

That's all for now folks. =)

Delighted yet nervous

I'll blog about today's badminton training, because its one of my best ever!!!

As Daryl (or Darrel or whatever spelling there is) was the only one there today, he trained the smaller kids and he asked us (8 of us in total) to do footwork. We did 6 corners (the middle part is considered a corner =] ). 1 person follows the other player's movement on the opposite court, twice, then it was our turn to follow the other guy's footwork as well.

After that, Daryl asked us to do the same training he was trained before. That is by playing another team, and the difference between the points, that will be the number of push-ups that the losing team needs to do. So, it was Gabriel-Kean Weng and Justin-Sebastian, against the other 4 from Seafield. The first Seafield pair was definitely the stronger pair of the 4 pairs because of their fast movement and smashing capabilities.

Before the training started, I thought to myself, "How many push-ups would I need to do?". My brother and I was definitely not a pair to be reckon with ,yet. =)

Daryl's objective was to get us (the 2 above mentioned pairs) to do push-ups. But it was in vain lolx.

Gabriel-Kean Weng was in a class of their own (well, they're school reps). Daryl was shocked at how the Seafield people lost without even giving them a fight.

Then Daryl called me and my brother in. He told the Seafield pair our weaknesses, but it was still in vain. It never crossed my mind that we could beat those 2 pairs. So now, the 4 Seafield guys had to do their push-ups, while the 4 of us were happily chatting and drinking our water =).

So, Daryl still wanted us to do push-ups, so he teamed up with the strongest Seafield player and played against us. Gabriel-Kean Weng only had to do 3 push-ups, while my brother and I did 7.

So, today was an overall good day of badminton for me =).

But tomorrow, results will be out, so best of luck to everyone!!

My 1st post of the new year

zzz, ok lar, I may be late by 2 weeks. But there wasn't really anything interesting to post about, and I didn't want to write about weekly badminton outings which were kind of the same old thing I do. =)

Maybe some of the badminton games, I'll write about.

And I some how couldn't post up my timetable (dunno why) so here are my break times.
Monday : 9-10, 11-1
Tuesday: 10-11
Wednesday: I start at 11 and finish at 3, so I don't have any breaks =)
Thursday: 10-12
Friday : 9-10, 12-1

Results will be out soon, so ALL THE BEST!!

*Thinks of what to write*

Ahh, wonder when Taylor's badminton sessions will start, as well as an idea ( its only an idea) to play badminton with PB2 and PL1 together. The last time it didn't really work out, so that's why, this time its just an idea to begin with =)

I think that's all I have now...so I'll end here.

*Goes off to check other blogs*

Last post of 2007!!

2007 has come and gone. Just like that, another year has past.

It was Ferrari's year, Kimi Raikkonen's year and so many more others.

Here's an acapella group that I love, to end the year!!

I have goosebumps when I hear this one.^^

Sunday and Monday

I have no idea on what better title to put for this post =)

I think this title is all that is needed.

Sunday

My father was in Singapore, my sister went out for choir so we, as in my mother, my brother and I, went to Subang Parade for dinner. As usual, my brother suggested Manhattan Fish Market. I had no objection, so we went there for dinner.

About a couple of minutes after being seated, I saw a familiar face. Han Wei of 5 Omega was working there, and he was wearing a santa hat XD. Then as I turned to look at the kitchen, someone was standing there and smiling and waving at me. TECK WENG!!! Lolx, he was working there as well. He served us our drinks and dinner. Never seen this polite side of him, so much...lols. And if you're reading...hehe.

This was the only thing I wanted to say for "Sunday", so lets fast forward time to Monday. XD

Monday

Today is my Undang test at SS15. Dominic was supposed to join me, but he called late so he could only get to sit for his test on Wednesday. I reached there at 12, and there were a hell lot of people there. I saw 3 familiar faces, 2 of which were my standard 3 classmates and the other 1 was Navin from SU. SUs somehow can get along outside SU...lol. He was there since 9.15 in the morning. So he has waited quite a bit already.

I waited until like 3 before I could get my photo taken. But by 3.30, there was a problem with the system, and the only thing everyone could do was wait. At this time, it was one guy's turn. He had been there since morning, even earlier than Navin. He was already seated on the chair at the counter to get all the thumbprint and stuff, when the woman said that the system is down.

Andrew Chu came to see Navin, and the 3 of us were seating on a sofa, yes there was a sofa there. =)

We waited until almost 6, when the attendant called out the name of the guy earlier on. He got up from the chair, and went on into the room where the computers were. The system was back, weee!! XD

One by one, everyone went in, then my turn came. After answering all the questions, I did not fully want to know what my marks were, and I reluctantly press the "Keputusan" button. LULUS!!!! 43/50. lol. The passing mark is 42/50, so yeah I just scrapped through...hehe.

Went out, collected my printed result from the counter and I went home. =)

*Too lazy to put up the details of what happen there during the 6 hours I was there. Really funny fat lady was there...lolx. Cya.
