London at the moment.

Yesterday.
Took a train from Reading to London Paddington.
Used the Bakerloo Underground line from Paddington to Baker Street and then Metropolitan line from Baker Street to Harrow-on-the-Hill.

My aunt picked me up and we headed to Loon Foong and then Sainsbury's.
Got my Jamie magazine. =)

Today.
Opened my presents from my aunt! WEEEEEE!! Got nice stuff. =D
Left the house at 1pm. Went to the Crispy Duck in Chinatown. Nice dim sum. =D

Watched Avatar with my aunt. FUYOH!!! nice nice show. =D

*SCHUMACHER IS COMING BACK TO F1!!! =D
The best in the world will once again rule the track!
but, how to support? Schumi? or Ferrari?
=(
Dammit. Ferrari win constructors title and Schumi win world title? =)

Good balance.

You. Yes, You.

I'm talking to all my "en-suite room, self catered hall" lovers. LOLS!

Childs hall is going to be demolished when the summer break starts.

Now, next to Childs, they're building a new Halls of Residence. Stenton Hall.

It's gonna be massive. So far, it's 7 stories high. According to the UoR newspaper, Spark*, it will be en-suite student bedrooms, with self-catered facilities.

Now, once that hall is open, it will be THE best option to stay if you want your bathroom to your self. It's gonna be amazing. On average, 5 minutes walk to everywhere..except Agriculture building. It might take 10 minutes.

BUT!

The construction work on the new hall is believed to have a 2 week margin, between completion date and the beginning of Freshers' Week 2010.
That is cutting it real close.
Not sure if they can get it done in time.

Happy Holidays!!!!

End of term.

It's been a good day so far...=)

Woke up this morning, and all I could see was...

..

nothing. LOLS!!

It was super foggy this morning.

Left for class at 11.40am.
Walking pass the lake towards the campus was surreal.

I could almost imagine Theoden and the Rohirrim riding from the tree line on one side, and the orcs on the other...LOLS!!!

Had a pasty for lunch. =D
The last lecture ended at 2.45pm.

Checked mail..got a Tesco voucher(worth....£1) and my railcard. =)

Now let's see if the night will end on a high. The smell of roast turkey in the morning is too much...=)

Tomorrow, Amethyst will be leaving, and Priscilla will be going to Liverpool(?), and on Tuesday Kristine will be leaving for home.

Have a safe trip people!!
and

MERRY X'MAS!!!!!!!

Where is Malaysia?

The University of Reading's law school will be sending 5 Year 2 students to Malaysia to gain experience about our legal system. UoR is organising this with Taylor's.

It's a 5 week programme during the summer. Prof. Patricia Leopold was giving out leaflets about this thing. And there's something about a writing credit about it as well..or something like that.

So she was explaining about it briefly before the lecture.

So everyone was talking about..or just talking.

And I heard many many funny things.
*This is what I heard all around me.

"Where is Malaysia?"

"Do you know where Malaysia is?"
"I think it's somewhere near Asia"

"Where is TUC? What is TUC?"
"Read the other page first. It says Taylor's University College"
"Oh..where is that?"

ROFL!!! Super funny.

Oh, and Taylor's really know how to make money...they're charging the students going over money as well.
£750 - tuition fees
£104 - student registration
£350 - student charge
------
£1204 x 5.5 = RM6622 x 5 students = RM33,110
------
This is only for 5 weeks. Damn easy money.

And it says here, that the students would experience teaching at TUC....now my question is...who is going to teach during the summer break?

And I'm guessing some of you might be asked to be host families to these 5 students. If got no host family, then they'll stay in TUC student accommodation...which means more money...LOLS!!!

Another 3 more days till holidays!!!

December...

What comes to mind is Christmas....AND PRESENTS!!!!

Thank you Poh Leng!! =D

This game ROCKS!!!

It's a strategy game. A genre that I pride myself in..=D
BUT,

It's not any old strategy game, like Red Alert, or Age of Empires, or Age of Mythology, or Command & Conquer(oh, btw...C&C 4 is coming out soon..=D).

This one has an element of RISK in it. During a mission, if the enemy overrun the place, you can retreat from the planet so that your soldiers don't die. OoO...
It's a totally different element to the normal ones, where you just build and attack, and build some more, and attack some more.

Here, you have to think about winning the war..not the battle...especially if you're the Rebel Alliance, as they have limited troops, unlike the Empire.

And there's another feature..."Cinematic View". IT'S SO AWESOME!!

You can attack, say a fleet of ships. Click the button. Then you can see the animation of the battle. cooool~
I did it once, then I almost forgot that it's an on going battle, luckily I remembered...=P

In about 8 hours time..Khiara would be on Malaysian soil, and..

in less than 24 hours, Yunrui would be back home as well, and..

in about 9 days time, Amethyst will also be back.

As for me, have to wait 7 months..=(
I want my Leung Kee wan tan mee, and my chicken rice, and my indian rojak, mee rebus....

Anyway, gotta get back to my game..=D
cyaz.
