..43rd day without playing badminton.
..258 days(or longer) till I reach home.
Went to the Asian store today. It's called Seewoo. It was nicee~
It feels like home, cause you get to see all the stuff that you can get back in Malaysia, and then some. THERE WAS A HUGE PACK OF HAR KAU FOR SALE!!! Not too sure how many there were inside the packet though..but it was selling for £15. =(
The stuff there are slightly more expensive than other Asian stores in London, cause it's the only one around. Monopoly. =(
But it's still alright. Bought some essentials like Hoisin sauce, wanton noodles, thick soy sauce, sesame oil...=D
Gonna start cooking fresh. A bit sick of frozen foods.
Gonna stock up my supply of food from Asda tomorrow.
Nottingham Malaysian Games 2009!
It's been 25 years since it was first started. =)
But I'll probably only get to play in it, in the 26th edition.
Badminton, they only want 1 player. =(
Ngai Chun wants to play. I want to play.
So I let him play cause it is his final year in the UK. =)
But I think it was a good decision, cause I haven't touched my badminton racquet in 43 days. I'm gonna be rusty like hell.
AND...
I GET TO EAT ALL THE MALAYSIAN FOOD I WANT!!!!! No need to worry about what time my match is or anything...=D
I'm really really excited about this trip!
BUT..
have to wake up super super early...the bus will be leaving at 3.30am! So cold..not sure how to get up...=P
Next year..I'm still gonna stay at Wessex Hall. =D
It isn't gonna bother me if everyone stays at Sherfield or wherever. After 1 month, I like Wessex a lot. Imagine after 2 terms...=D
You may not get your own toilet or bathroom, not enough fridge space..but I'm cool with it. =D
My kitchen mates, they're slightly messy, but apart from that, they're a really nice bunch of people. If I were not staying in Wessex, I wouldn't know any 'kwai lo' friends. I now have 8(excluding Khiara..lols). They drink(which Brit doesn't), but at least they don't smoke. =D
We even have Sims of ourselves..lols. Katiy decided to do a Sim for everyone in kitchen 201. I have purple hair. =D
It's great here. =)
Oh..and the people here think that we don't speak English...LOLS!!!
Matthew asked what my 1st language is. I told him English, and he was a bit shocked. He thought there was a Malaysian language. Then I told him Malay is the national language and stuff...then Vanessa(a new girl who moved in not too long ago) and I had this conversation.
Vanessa: Do you live near here?
Me: *I just stared with a big question mark on my face*
V: Do you live near Reading?
Me: Urm..noooope. I'm from Malaysia. *smile*
V: OMG!! That's so far away! I thought you were a local cause you can speak English so well.
Me: Oh...Thank You. *bigger smile*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I got this compliment from Laura once before.
You know..getting a compliment about your English from an English person, to me, is like Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay or Marco Pierre-White or any other great chef telling you that you can cook like them. =D
Ok..gotta go. =)
