Back from Kuching

Hello people, i'm back home in Subang.

Just arrived about 2 hours ago. =)

How were your CNY holidays?
Mine was ok...kinda quiet cause not many relatives 'balik kampung'.

Played a bit of Left4Dead in Kuching, some card games...the usual...=P

Only had internet connection when we went to my cousin's house...=)

I'll only be going back to Kuching in 2013...4 years time.
Why?

I'll be celebrating CNY in Reading...lols!!

This trip to Kuching was quite nice, especially the food...and this coming from me...sounds weird.
Cause, since I was young, I've never liked the food in Kuching...dunno why my taste changed.

Ate a lot of junk food as well...=P

*edit
Oh ya, Kuching has a new shopping centre called The Spring.
It's quite nice, has the essential shops like MPH, toyshop, Speedy, Manhattan Fish Market, Kenny Rogers and Starbucks(which means WiFi....XD)

But I think The Spring is rather small compared to the shopping centres here...=)

Anyways,

ENJOY THE REMAINING HOLIDAYS!!!

*My bro is leaving for Singapore tomorrow, less one 'kaki' to play badminton ledi.

We will be facing-off Nicol and Evelyn.

Topic, on consideration and promissory estoppel...damn...

Case: Greedbank v Poorstudent

My moot is the first one on the 12th of February.

Got CNY holidays to prepare, but got no internet...haiz.

The last few days of the CNY break is gonna be used to read all the cases relevant...=(

That's all from me now...=)

I'm full and satisfied.

Tonight, my mother cooked an amazing pre-CNY dinner...=)

This is the menu.

Fried whole chicken with crackers

Steamed cod fish

Braised abalone with mushroom

Scallops and prawns in superior stock

This was under RM150!!

I enjoyed the dinner till the last bite. =D

*Oh, btw America has an African-American President. =)

Gathering?

A few days ago, Erik called me and said,

Erik: Hi Justin. Are you free on Friday?

Justin: I think so. Why? What's the occasion?

Erik: Well, it depends. If there are more QMs then it is a QM gathering. If there are more librarians, then it's a librarian gathering. If it is just the few of us, then it is an early CNY gathering.

Justin: LOLS!! Ok. =)

Met up today at Hartz Chicken at Sunway Pyramid. Their food is really declining in terms of quality and choice.
7 of us met up for this gathering. Me, Hee Ian, Basil Erik, Shu Ning, Hui Yen and Kimberly. Chong Yong couldn't make it.

Anyways, we sat, ate and talked until about 9.10pm. The we decided that if we could catch 'Yes Man' around this time, then we maybe be able to watch it. Shu Ning went to the nearby music shop to get a pick and some strings for her guitar, then we went to the cinema.

Went up to the cinema to check the times. Yes Man started at 9.20. We reached there at about 9.25.

We quickly devised a plan to ask a couple near the front whether they could help us buy the tickets. They said yes. While doing that, I called my parents to get their "Ok". =)
Got it.

It was 9.30 by the time we got our tickets, so we hurried in. There were a lot of people watching the show.

The show was quite funny in some parts, but kinda lame in others.

The show ended at about 10.55pm, and we left the cinema and then only did we start paying  Shu Ning for the tickets(she paid for the tickets first). Watch first, pay later. XD

As we were leaving the shopping mall on our way up the escalator, the girls were walking quite fast, so 4 people got on the escalator in between us and the girls. The girls turned behind to say something to us, but saw familiar faces.

It was Hee Ian's cousin and her boyfriend, and Pei Yi( i think that was her) and her boyfriend.
I said 'I think it was' Pei Yi because she looked very much different.
*Any 5 Beta-ians reading this post, don't criticise me about me not recognising an ex-classmate.

We just exchanged smiles like normal people do, but didn't say 'hi'.
Maybe she 'thinks it was me'. Do I look different from the days in 4/5 Beta? =P

Anyways, then we went home.

Thanks Hee Ian for sending me back.

And now I'm done with my post.

Like I've been telling some people today,

"I'm gonna sleep till I can't wake up"

That's how much of rest I need from going through such a stressful week.

Cya when I cya!

I love the weekends.

I just finished my GPL non-assessed work.

And I'm totally pissed!!

My Internet Explorer is not responding!
Mozilla Firefox cannot open Travian!

So now I'm using Chrome to check my stuff.
But for some stupid reason, Chrome does not respond when I try to use my email!!
So I had to use Firefox to check my mail...*grrr*

I'm quite positively sure that the cause of all my problems is the one, the only,

WINDOWS "STUPID" VISTA!!!!

The only good thing is that the weekend is here!!
I really need a rest.

Left4Dead

Yesterday, my aunt and my uncle (we still call him kor kor cause no clarification has been made about how to address him) had an open house at their new house. The food was ok, but I got hungry on the way home, so I bought 2 burgers(my father wanted 1).
"Daging cheese dua". =)

Anyways, while we were at my aunt's house, my cousin, my brother and I brought our laptops to play Left4Dead. XD

It was the first time my cousin 'actually' played this game. I say actually cause he just tried it out a bit before this. Playing this game with company is really nice, but it may have been a bit too much when all of a sudden there were like 10 people watching us play. Some relatives were watching us, that was ok, but some unknown people were there as well...kinda weird, especially the boy standing next to me. His hands kept holding my mouse wire....

All in all, it was fun.

And now, 'THANK YOU GARENA!!'
Can play L4D online!! No need my cousin to come all the way here, or us there...=P

Tomorrow have to wear formal, and stay back until about 3-ish, cause Dr Mahathir is coming to Taylor's to talk about "Global Peace" (I think).

What I have been up to this whole year...=P

Last year on the 31st of December, I was at Saujana with my family (excluding my bro cause he went for a BBQ) attending the yearly New Year's Party.

The food was kinda weird this time round, cause it was a sit-down dinner instead of their regular buffet style, and it was chinese instead of international, but the food was quite nice. Didn't win any prizes from lucky draw this year. The table next to us got 6 prizes...lols.

After the countdown, we went to pick my brother up then headed home. Had to sleep early cause we were headed to Singapore at about 8 am. This was to settle all my brother's documents with the immigration, set up a bank account with POSB and then submit something to the college. He's gonna study his pre-U in Singapore cause he was awarded a merit scholarship.

We were only in Singapore for one night, and we stayed at YMCA, orchard road. It isn't as bad as I imagined it to be...quite nice actually. Breakfast got Har Kao...don't play play. =)

The best thing about it, they have WiFi at the hostel!

2 words.......

AWESOME INTERNET!!!!!

The fastest Internet connection I have used in my life.

But I think I'll get to use even faster Internet when I go to the UK, cause my aunts in London recently got a 6GB Internet connection at their place!! They could get 6GB cause the area that they are living at doesn't have many Internet users...hehe.

sweeeeeettt....

While in Singapore, didn't do much shopping cause I'm not much of a shopper, even though the shopping centre near the hostel had many shops with quite good discounts. Hang Ten shirts sold at about $5 each. Also, I was too preoccupied with the Internet.=)

The first night we went to Chinatown to eat. Got damn many people there. I had the prawn mee...which was FREAKING SPICY!!

The following day we went to the shopping centre again, while my father and my brother went to the immigration department to get something, but none of the shops were open yet, and it was already 10.45am. Damn lazy people...LOLS!!

After that we went to the college to submit something and then to Toa Payoh to set up a bank account and then lunch and then to Melaka to meet up with my cousin and cousin-in-law, Phine che che and Ivan kor kor.

We arrived at Ivan kor kor's parent's house at about 6 pm, still too early to eat, so we went on a tour around Melaka town, with him being the tour guide..lols. We passed by a ferris wheel in Melaka, and Ivan kor kor made a joke;

Ivan kor kor: Now, this is the biggest joke of Melaka! (pointing at the stupid ferris wheel standing alone)

All: LOL!!

Ivan kk: Spend so much on this, then they move the Eye-on-Malaysia here.

After that we went to eat at a nyonya restaurant. The food was quite nice, especially the fried chicken. The sambal belacan rocks!!

After that, we went on another tour around Melaka, and then Ivan kor kor said that there's a place selling Roti John that's really nice. We stopped by to pick up 2 Roti John. I'm not a fan of sardine, but this Roti John was deep-fried and it was Fantastic!! My family shared 1, while Ivan kor kor took the other..he didn't seem to eat much during dinner, I think that's why he suggested the Roti John...=)

Anyway, Thanks for the Roti John Ivan kor kor!!

After that, my cousin headed home, and so did we.

I have a test on Monday and I was out in Singapore and Melaka enjoying myself...hehe. Luckily it doesn't count towards the end marks...pity Dominic.

Now, my brother has just gotten his new laptop, and I'm waiting for my mom to come back with lunch while sending my bro to badminton at 3K. =)

Happy New Year people!!
